It was a short drive from Cedar Point. We took a taxi there and spent half a day. It was an indoor waterpark but was fun, clean and really pretty. It was a nice break away from the amusement park. There is a waterpark at Cedar Point but this was indoors so on a cloudy/rainy day, it gives you something to do. We (husband and kids) really enjoyed it.

If it is too rainy or hot or too cold to be outside, have a fun day at Castaway Bay. This indoor water park is great for all ages. The towels are provided which is very helpful. There are two family changing rooms along with gender seperate restrooms. The spa pool is wonderful! There is a pool with basketball hoops and fun floating animals to climb up onto. The wave pool is wild fun! There are several tubes and slides to ride from mild to wild! We had 11 people in our group aged from 1 to 59 and everybody had a lot of fun. There are life vests provided for the kids to wear in the deeper pools. And there is a little cafe for snacks or lunch. Prices very reasonable.

The waterpark was nice. I wish they would have had a lazy river though. We also just wanted to spend an evening swimming but could not purchase tickets ahead of time. We were forced to pay for a nights stay at a substantial cost or take the chance on showing up and being denied access after a 2-1/2 hour drive. After spending so much for the hotel, it would have been nice if the food and drink there was reasonable. A bottle of pop from the pop machine was $3.75.

We like this indoor waterpark much more than the African themed one also in the area. This one is smaller which means it is warmer in the winter and less chaotic. Smaller children enjoy this park better since you don't have adults and rowdy teens running all over the place. It is more laid back. And much easier to keep track of your kids too! This place is not as loud and busy. The hotel is very nice and the activities they offer for kids are great too! The price is reasonable and we don't end up spending a ton of money like we do at the other place. If you are looking for a nice little weekend retreat this is your place to come!
