TA reviews were close but not dead on. The portions are huge and can be shared. The food itself is definitely better than a chain but not as good as big city Italian restaurants. Was disappointed the waitress did not mention the kid menu (we found about it right before getting the check)

If you want to avoid the predictable chain restaurants all over this tourist town, try Sortinos. You will not be disappointed. The owners are always present and will come around to make sure that everything is as you like. If there happens to be a wait, you are invited to the basement lounge for complimentary appetizers while you wait. The menu choices are huge. One of the best things is that with many menu items you can chose to have them prepared with either beef, chicken or veal. I always skip the salad and have the wedding soup instead. It is fantastic. There are wine jugs on the tables where you can help yourself and are on the honor system to tell the waitress how much you drank. This is not food that was delivered already prepared and portioned. The owner uses many of his own family recipes. The atmosphere is charming, in one of the huge old sandstone buildings scattered through town. In fact, it was originally an orphanage. You have to check this place out. It's fun, delicious and affordable.

We have frequented this spot since we moved to the area. A great Italian Eatery! Cool atmosphere, and great long island iced teas! Many things on the men are great, but the best thing I have had is the linguine with white clam sauce, baby clams and wonderful sauce!

What can I say about this restaurant except “MAGNIFICO.” I loved everything about this out of the way eatery from the old west and Mediterranean blended theme, to the service and to the food especially. They say the fish is so fresh it was swimming yesterday and you can tell. The way they cook the walleye will simply put you in heaven.

1.We loved the food and atmosphere. Both my husband and I could tell how much love had gone into the genuine Sicilian dishes we had here. I had the Pasta Mafia and my husband the gnocchi; but we both tried each others dish. The sauces were deliciously satisfying. We will definitely eat here again whenever we're in the area.
