Front desk is directly in front of main doors that automatically opened when people come in and out. This made the Lobby very cold. I had to stand in line freezing while waiting to check in,rent a locker key, check out, not good. Room was dirty. Thermostat had sticky go on it and bathroom had toilet paper pieces on the floor ( like it wasn't swept prior to us). Kids loved the bunk bed area though. We ordered food from the volcano grill around noon. It was staffed with 2 people one taking orders and getting drinks the other cooking. Both were on slow motion and complained to me personally about why they couldn't perform their jobs properly. We waited 40 minutes for 4 burgers & 3 orders of fries. Burgers were so burned I had to request a refund. Breakfast in the morning was good. The waterpark bathrooms were filthy! The waterpark it self was nice except for the poor ventilation. My son couldn't stop coughing from the chlorine fumes. Probably won't go back :(. Most staff was friendly

We're luck for our some great people in on this staff. Please don't' let one bad weekend on our part keep you from giving us a chance to earn your business again. We've added additional people, working ion redesigning our lobby entrance and have added additional staff in many areas. This is not a perfect world, and I'n sure you can understand that once the snowball gets rolling, it's hard to stop regardless of how many people are working tirelessly to make your visit a great one. Our room was nice and the hot breakfast is definitely a plus. The Volcano Grill is handy to have beside the waterpark. The Maui Bowl is the best waterslide. Our first impression: the lobby is too small and too close to waterpark entrance. Freezing cold in the front doors with people in swimsuits going to the park. Way too much chlorine. Started coughing just going into park. Maybe they could change to the other chemicals or salt water. The waterpark is nice but is set up like a maze with steps and walkways everywhere. Takes awhile to find your way around and find the towels! Not sure how people would get out if there was a safety issue. Hoping the whole place improves whenever they finish renovation. Good for young families. (You do have to wait in line to checkout.)

Room Tip: Pick the top floor if you are looking for quiet. The 4000 wing is easy to get up and down and there...

We appreciate your kind comments about your stay.

Unfortunately, you are right. The lobby is cold. However, we have recently introduced a new state-of the-art heating system and are reviewing some additional solutions that will hopefully make it more comfortable. We are also looking for ways that will expedite our check-in and check-out procedures.

I am also sorry you had some difficulty navigating through the waterpark. With water and tube slides, a children's pool, a lazy river and more, there are a lot of activities for all of our guests.

I read all the bad reviews and was leary in staying. I stayed Feb 15-17 and had a great time. The problem with the bad reviews is what I saw in line ..rude ppl that think its the palm hotel. The staff was exceptional. Doc and Steph were great! Bar was nice priced kids had a blast. I went to castaway bay and the staff were nasty you could tell they hated their job. Great place ohana room fantastic .. family oriented!!!! Def going back!!!!

Went there on Valentine's Day and the place was packed. The service is spectacular. Shoutout to Doc, the greatest concierge out there. Good water park, clean jacuzzi suite. Some guests are pretty rude there, but not a hotel problem. Breakfast was good and plentiful. We'll be back soon!

I first want to thank Hope. She went out of her way to get my child a blanket and a drink at 3 am when he had an asthma attack and I took him to the lobby so my family could sleep. The water park was very clean and I felt comfortable letting my children explore all the park had to offer while I enjoyed the hot tub and lazy river. We needed an escape from the snow and we felt like we were in paradise. Thank you. Karen gerchak

We were throughly impressed with our visit. The water park was clean and safe. Lots of lifeguards kept everyone safe.The temperature of the water and park was very warm and the rooms were clean. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was very filling.

We stayed for a large campground member reunion in the banquet room. The staff, from manager to front desk clerks to custodians, bent over backwards to help with anything our group needed. Room was clean & comfortable.
