“Tons of fun!”
Reviewed June 6, 2013

My husband and I took our two grandsons, ages 5 and 12 for a two day mini vacation. It was our first time at a Great Wolfe Lodge was wasn't sure what to expect. It was a very large resort and the indoor water park was more than what we expected! Lots of slides and different pools for the kids as well as adults. MagicQuest game is a little pricey. You need a wand with prices from $14.99 and up...then add on $10 just for the game which you want around the resort and tap you wand to open up treasures and such. The game room is like most...everything is 50 cents and up and you get coupons for little prizes. The food is normal, but the pizza is priced accordingly. We ordered Pizza Hut one night and paid $11 and then ordered the resort pizza for $11.99 and they were almost the same! There is a Meijer and WalMart close by and the rooms have microwaves and fridges. Also, alot of restaurants within walking distance. Lots of activities for the kids.

We just came back from a stay at Great Wolf Lodge. Our son and daughter in law invited us to go along. Had no idea what to expect, actually thought it might be awful. What a surprise we loved it, the grandkids 2 and 4 years had a blast. We had a great time with them, the waterpark is wonderful, clean, well staffed with diligent life guards. Fantastic for all ages but a really great place for the littler kids water wise. The outdoor pool was very nice also. Our room was fantastic and very clean. We had a outdoor seating area which was great. Our son's room had the little kid cave space which the kids just loved. Staff were all friendly and very attentive. Restaurant - Camp Gitchee Gomee - was very good and reasonably priced. Story time at 8 o'clock was a hoot as was the hula hoop contest and dancing earlier for the kids. It was a lot of fun. I would absolutely go with them again to Great Wolf Lodge.

Stopped on May 30, 2013 (Thursday night) and received the discount rate of $140 a night plus taxes and resort fee. The front desk clerk offered up a room upgrade on arrival. Our 2 and 5 year old loved the water park and had a blast! The lifeguards were great with the kids and were not at all hesitant to correct bad behavior in a good way. The front desk clerk / manager Sarah even provided a coupon for Friendly's down the road and offered to write a voucher for the lost arcade tickets. Overall, at $170 I thought I was a great experience and not too crowded either. I am not sure I would want to visit for a weekend or stay and not use the water park, it would be a bit pricey.

I am not sure kids over 12 would have much fun with the waterpark.

Room Tip: We liked the first floor.

We came to this resort on May 26, 2013 with family of 4 Adults and 2 kids aged 2 and 4 yrs. Resort was ready for us and room was so comfortable and fresh. As soon as we checked in we ran to the water park which was huge and just right for the toddlers 2 and 4 yrs old. They had quite a lot to do and no waiting time or queue. Water looked clean and active life guards actively monitoring. Clean warn towels all the time. Changing room at water park was quite big and has drying station as well. Everything was amazing and perfect. Kids had so many other activities and events which is FREE. 8pm Story time was a big hit for us. Kids liked it so much. Food are great too. Wish they had free continental breakfast, but 4 restaurants at site gives lot of choices little pricy too. Only complaint I had was I had booked a room with Patio/Balcony and I could not go out bcoz of mosquitoes. It was plenty on the glass door and we were afraid of that. But over all it was inclusive of all stays and kids had fun and their happiness is most imp of all.

Room Tip: Don't go for Balcony/Patio room. It has mosquitoes so not worth.

I just took y Girl scout troop to the Great Wolf lodge the weekend of May 10- 12, 2013. WOW is all I can say. I had planned outing to keep them busy. What a waste of time that was. They only wanted to stay at the hotel.
The waterpark was wonderful. Nice clean areas, friendly employees, plenty of clean warm towels, and the shower/ dressings room were a plus.
The magic quest was a total WINNER - we bought the pup pass and it did it all. For the value and entertainment it was SUPER!!!!!
I only took the junior level in our troop (5&6 graders)which was only 5 girls. The rest of the troop wants to go next year. When we voted the older girls (6 12 grade thought it would be boring. They are sure sorry Now!
Any ways Thumbs up and an extra hug for Laverne for getting us a great rate. It does come in Groupons and well worth it.
Beds were the best have ever slept on, just like mine at home. :)

Room Tip: We were in the family suite. 2 queens and a pull out.

We planned a weekend trip here to celebrate my son's 7th birthday! It was wonderful, rooms were so beautiful, staff was helpful and polite! Only complaint I have is breakfast should be included with the price you pay to stay there. Most likely will visit there again in the future!

Family of 2 adults, 2 kids, ages 7 & 10 stayed 2 nights at GWL. This was our 4th time here in 3 years. This time was just as fun as the others. Our kids are a great age for here. We can let them go alone a little bit and not follow them around like we used to although we still did a lot together as a family. This place is the smallest of the GWL's but a nice size. You won't all get lost but there is still plenty to do. My 10 year old is not a dare devil so he finds it fun. If you have kids about 9 and up who have no fear they may get bored quickly but younger than that its fine. We got the stay 2 nights save 20% and our stay was pretty reasonable. We just got the standard room, but they offer fancier rooms with cabins for the kids as well. We bought groceries for lunch/breakfast at the Meijer (like Wal-mart) to save $ as food is pricy and average in taste.Your room has a fridge & micro so that works. We did eat dinner in Gitchgoomie Grill and it was better than in the past. My only food issue is the same I mentioned in the past. The only option for breakfast is in Lumberjacks and it is family style. With the waterpark opening at 9:00 who wants to stuff themself family style right before going on slides? I think a grab& go breakfast place would be better. They do have donuts you can buy at the sweet counter in the lobby but more options and healhy ones would be good. The clock tower night show is cute for the younger ones. Rooms clean and a nice size. Beds comfy. All staff friendly & helpful. Lifeguards very good and attentive. They have Magiquest game we didnt do but it looked fun and of course an arcade. My daughter enjoyed kids Scoops Kids Spa. A good time frame here is 2 nights, maybe 3 if you are doing Cedar Point or something else in the area, but to really enjoy GWL 2 nights is good. Come and enjoy your family time away from home & work, your kids grow up too fast!
