We stayed here and had a great experience. We got there at about 1pm because they allow you to use the water park even before your room is ready. And at 3pm you can check in it was a bit busy as everyone was checking in at the same time, so I stayed in the water park with the kids as my husband checked in. The kids really enjoyed themselves. The rooms were clean, and cleaned every day we were there.

“Great place”
Reviewed July 28, 2013

Great Wolf Lodge is one of the best places I've stayed. The rides are fun and the waiting time is never more than a few minutes. We have stayed twice and will be back. It is nice that only those staying in the hotel are able to visit the waterpark.

“Lovely atmosphere, great water-park”
Reviewed July 26, 2013

The hotel has a great family friendly atmosphere and is fun for younger children. Our room was very comfortable and spacious (a loft suite) and we had no problems to report. The indoor water-park was an absolute blast, the slides were great fun and soaking people in the large water play structure more than made up for the lack of teen activities on site. The options for younger children are brilliant. There's magic quest, an interactive adventure which is a clever concept and will keep kids entertained for a good while. There are also other activities and even a children's spa. On the food side, it was generally a mixed affair. Breakfast was a little late for early risers, opening at 8:00am (which is strange considering the sweet shop opened at 7:00am) and the food was plentiful but in many ways poor, although the omelette bar was very good. Dinner on the other hand was much better, the restaurant was nicely themed and the food was brilliant, the only problem was that they forgot to sweep the mess under the tables!
Overall however the stay was great, and we are looking forward to staying in another Great Wolf Lodge, though not necessarily this one. This is best enjoyed by families with younger children, due to the lack of teen facilities on site

“Fourth and last Great Wolf Lodge Visit”
Reviewed July 22, 2013

The Sandusky location was the fourth Great Wolf we have visited. It will now be the last for couple of reasons. Fantastic for little ones, and GWL has given many happy times to our sons. But they have now outgrown it. Great for the under ten crowd, teens are now in short supply. This particular location is also smaller than the others we have visited. It also needs more attention to housekeeping issues. The bathtub had a brown ring inside. Not a stain but grime which could be scrapped with a fingernail. And much to our chagrine as we were making the sleeper sofa, the previous occupants sheets and blanket were wrinkled up inside. Yuk. Our suite looked into the retaining wall and had a courtyard scattered with a couple of discarded water bottles, cups and for wrappers.

“Needs some tidying up”
Reviewed July 20, 2013 via mobile

The water park is great. Our kids had lots if fun. The big water slides with the tubes were really fun. The hotel itself is on the weathered side. We stayed on the fourth floor & it smelled like cat urine, but the rest of the hotel didn't. The staff was friendly & helpful. Close to Cedar Point....took us less than 20 minutes to get there.
