“The wait was to long”
Reviewed August 3, 2013

Lines were horrible and had numerous problems with keeping rides running but the thrill was awesome. If your going longer than 2 days buy the season pass.

“Has seriously went down hill”
Reviewed August 3, 2013

I've visited Cedar Point various times over the years but this trip will be my last. They have introduced "Fast Path" that for an extra $50 above the tix price U get a special line for the rides ahead of all the huddled masses that payed just $30 for the tix.
Due to this & intermittent showers we got on 3 rides in 8 hours on a Friday. Can't imagine the wait on a Saturday
The wait times were 1.5 - 2 hrs. Totally ridiculous
The park was also dirty & many of the workers were obviously unhappy to be there

I will not be back

“The good, bad and ugly”
Reviewed August 3, 2013

The good ,lots of rollercoasters.
The bad , lots of hidden costs
The ugly, lots of wasted time in lines.
My family and I first went to cedar point in June 2011 and we very much had an very enjoyable experience, we were able to ride almost all the rides. What a difference 2 years makes, they now have a new way you can get on the rides quicker, Fast Pass. The regular admission to the part is not very expensive but if you don't pay this extra cost which will add up to $90 to each person ticket cost , you will be waiting in lines for excessive amounts of time. Even the less popular rides were crowed and over an hour wait. After 5 hours at the park we rode 3 rides. People whom purchase this fast pass are allowed to go ahead of those whom don,t, this has added excessive amounts of extra time waiting in lines. Even the lines that had only fast pass people waiting in them had lines , so it don,t appear to be a limit on how many they sell each day, I don't know what they will do when they start having an hour wait even with a overpriced fast pass ticket. We waited in line for 2 hours only to have the ride break down, what a waste of our time . They need to post at the entrance which rides are not working so you have a choice to come to park that day or wait another day when it's working . The food cost are really high as well. We ended of leaving eairly because we were not enjoying ourselfs. By the way we went on a Tuesday, so if you go a week-end , I bet you will experince even longer wait times.

“Probably Never Again”
Reviewed August 3, 2013

We just completed our 3rd trip to Cedar Point with the kids (21,23) -:) When we checked in at our hotel we found a coupon for $10.00 off of a two day ticket. When we got to the ticket booth the attendant said those tickets were already discounted and she could not help us out. which they were not.
Smoking was terrible, I understand that they probably pay their help minimum wage but they need to do a better job of enforcing that.
Yes we like the coasters and that is why we have been there so many times but after this lack of customer service, we will find another venue

“Great rollercoasters but too expensive!”
Reviewed August 3, 2013

We have been visiting Busch Gardens Williamsburg as well as other amusement parks and being roller coaster enthusiasts as we are, decided to give Cedar Point a try. We have been reading Cedar Point is the "best" as far as roller coasters go. Yes, that might be true, but this park doesn't win our vote! I know it's not a theme park, but, actually it is.. The theme is "WAIT IN LINE for 1-2 hours for every ride!" That's all we did! We went on a mid week day and was told that the park was actually not as crowded as usual. WHAT??? (and we still had to wait that long for rides) Whoever designed the park crammed as many rides as they could in one little peninsula. The employees were so busy goofing around getting people on and off the rides that its a wonder safety is not an issue. Now to the food.. There were 3 in our party and lunch cost me $25 for chicken sandwiches and nuggets. I have never experienced park prices like these! On the good side, I have to say the park was clean and the variety of rides was very good.Luminosity was fantastic! The girl drummer made the whole show, she was OUTSTANDING! Unfortunately the cons on this park win.... save your money, go somewhere else...
