Cedar point is by far the best amusement park for thrill seekers. With over 15 coaters this place cannot be beat. The coaster's are top notch. I have been to other amusement parks and their coasters just do not come close to the speed, scale, and magnitude of Cedar Point's coasters. But CP is not just for coaster fanatics, it offers a ton of great rides for children and families too (and other less aggressive rides for adults too). There are 3 main areas that is dedicated to the kids but through out the park you will find many other rides they can ride as well. There are also shows, parades, games, great food (better than you would expect at an amusement park), and on some nights fireworks. You can bring in strollers and wagons and food. Large coolers must be left outside the gates in the picnic pavilion areas. There is a very nice (and large) beach you can access too! Just remember to get your hand stamped before leaving the park gate (beach is steps from the gate near Camp Snoopy and the stadium along the lake). There is also a marina for boaters to dock at for the day, night, weekend, week, month, or season and it is so close to the park gate! There is also a RV (no tents) park with cabins right on the lake, and 2 or 3 hotels. If you stay at the lodging you will also get discounted admission tickets and early entry to the park! There is also a water park located near the lodging and steps from the park entrance. And a "Challenge Park" area with putt putt, go karts, arcade, and thrill rides. There are separate fees for the Challenge Park attractions and for admission into Soak City (water park). Both Cedar Point and Soak City have discounted tickets (called Starlight) after a certain time in the evening (usually 4pm). The Cedar Point website is pretty good. Look there for discounts and ticket bundle packages. If you sign up for their email list they will email you with some pretty good specials throughout the season. If you plan to visit the park more than 3 times or 3 days than consider a season pass. Have fun and ride on!
