“Beautiful!”

The eighth wonder of the world here in our backyard! It feels like it. Beauty and nature collide. Hike and ride a bicycle as well. Enjoy!

“Especially Nice After A Good Rain”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 13, 2013

I liked my visit to Brandywine Falls especially after a good rain when the 60' high edge is roaring with cascading water. Access is easy from a parking lot near the falls. There is a scenic overlook and stairs for viewing the falls from on top and near the bottom. This is a perfect spot to view the falls and park..........four times during the year and note the different changes for each season.
Take some time to enjoy local nature and the outdoors at this rare place that is again.........especially nice after a good rain. The address of this natural wonder is..... 8176 Brandywine Road in Sagamore Hills.

“Beautiful and accessible”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 31, 2013

If you're up for seeing a beautiful waterfall without much effort on your part, go HERE. The entire trek to the falls was on a boardwalk that was well made with railings. You can branch off and look at the falls from the bottom or continue straight to see the falls from the top. Yes, there are stairs involved both ways so keep that in mind with planning.

If you're using a GPS to get here, there are several points of entry into Cuyahoga Valley Park. The physical address is: 8176 Brandywine Road in Sagamore Hills.

“Couple's Retreat”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 30, 2013

The waterfall is beautiful, and it is so peaceful there. Although we didn't have time to walk the trails or anywhere else besides the waterfall, I'm sure the whole place is relaxing and calming. The waterfall is pretty big and you can hear it as soon as you pull into the parking lot. The color of the water isn't so great, but it was cool to see all the carvings in the railing that people left behind.

“Pretty falls and easy hike!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 29, 2013

We started off at the beginning of a boardwalk built into the woods that leads you to the falls. When you reach the falls, it has a nice viewing deck with more stairs that lead you up to the trails. I think there is a separate trail above the falls that is for bicycles and another path Y's off to take the loop hiking trail. We only took the hiking trail.

Also, while hiking we noticed the creek with the shale bed and water shallow enough that you can walk out into the middle of it. I recommend wearing waterproof shoes so you can really enjoy this part! We saw wildlife and even fossils in the rock because of going out into the creek like this! The trail eventually looped around back to where we started and even with taking our time to explore, I think it only took us about 2 hrs.

Free. Easy parking at the beginning of the falls. You may want to bring some hand sanitizer or wipes...I don't remember the restrooms here having sinks.
