We went too Hocking Hills for the first time in Oct 2012 & stayed her in the Glacier Lodge. Honestly, we've stayed in 5 star resorts/hotels that weren't this nice! State of the art kitchen w all large & shall alliances! EASILY sleeps 12! Game room w pool tackle, dart board foos ball & mini fridge! 8 person hot tub. Gas grill tipi, fire pit, full size laundry room are a few of the other amenities! Frank & Renee, owners, make you feel VERY welcomed! We anticipate returning soon!

We stayed in one of the tipis at Boulder's Edge in mid-October, primarily because we wanted our three kids to have the experience. This is obviously a rare opportunity, and on the whole, it was what I expected.

We stayed a single night, and the temperature overnight was in the low 40s. There was a box wood stove in the middle of the tipi, and we thought that would keep us plenty warm. The reality was that we got pretty cold, in part due to not having enough wood for the full night, and in part due to our lack of experience with a wood burning stove. Once we started filling the stove with wood, it got pretty warm, but then the wood ran out much more quickly.

The tipi itself was very nice. It had a wood floor, similar to a house deck, and there was loads of space inside. I didn't use the shower or porta potty, so I can't comment on those, but my wife said the porta potty was very clean.

Overall, this is what I would expect from staying in a tipi. It could be a lot of fun, but make sure you buy more wood than you think you'll need, especially if it's a chilly fall night.

We stayed in the Glacier's Edge Lodge and could not have been happier. Easy access to Hwy 33 - clean rooms - fully stocked cabin - great game room. Look forward to planning a trip to return. We really enjoyed the quick access to the nature preserve for a great hike.

Cabin was very clean and well taken care of. Very secluded and made for a great quiet weekend. King sized waterbed was a plus as was the satellite TV with the Blue Ray disc player. Even have movies to rent. Hot Tub was absolutely wonderful-large and in great condition. Disappointed that the advertised telescope wasn't working though. Liked being close to the Natural Bridge and trail. A bit removed from the caves which became an issue with road construction in several places (which on a Saturday was a 45 minute ordeal). Fee for pets was a little more than I would have liked as my dog is a small poodle and really doesn't add to the cost of cleaning.
All in all, this was probably the nicest of the cabins we have ever stayed at in the area and would recommend if you are looking for peace and quiet.

We stayed at the lodge for 4 nights/5 days. It was gorgeous, spacious, exceptionally clean, and well appointed with fluffy towels, sweet smelling sheets, and great quality kitchen items. We all wanted to move right in! We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub, game room and wood burning stove (large cart of wood was $20). Renee and Frank are so friendly and helpful and made us feel right at home. This place is awesome, you won't be disappointed. We plan on returning next year for more fun + relaxation.

We stayed at Dot Calm cabin for our wedding weekend. Frank married us and Renee took the pictures. The cabin met and went beyond our expectations!! Clean, homey, quiet, comfortable. The scenery is breathtaking. Getting married @ Boulders Edge is a dream come true. The attention to the details, the welcome on our arrival with the hand written message to the champaign and chocolate covered strawberries and vase of roses. The ceremony was perfect, our pictures are perfect... Everything we asked for was perfect and top-notch!!! We were already talking about our next visit before we left!! When you plan your trip to Hocking Hills this is the place to stay. We will be back!
