We had breakfast crepes there for one day (Ham & Cheese) and Fruit Crepes that were excellent. I noticed a sign that said "champagne $5 a glass" , so we decided to return on our anniversary night. Loved it .. perfect for our special night.

Unique breakfast from that of every other place on the island. The crepes are delicious as well as the Benedicts. The fruit may have been the freshest fruit I ever had. Love the decor.

The Old Forge was hands down my favorite food experience on South Bass Island, and my lovely fiancé and I made a fair effort to try it all. The atmosphere is great, set on the location of the islands first forge. Blacksmith tools are scattered among pictures of crepes being made, an old anvil sits at the entrance, and the old smith vent was retrofitted to work for the kitchen. That being said, the food left all the other charms in the dust. Amazing presentation, great flavors, and definitely something we will remember. This is the one restaurant on the island worth a second visit, and we are looking forward to our third.

We stopped one night for a light dinner and had a salad/broccoli cheddar soup. It was delicious. The soup was not heavy and cheesy and had somewhat of a potato soup taste. It was very good and we finished off with a choc/raspberry crepe. Yum!
