We went there twice for dinner since we liked it so much the first time. The food and service are good, and the views are great. This is a great spot to go out for dinner.

Spent daytime on Put In Bay with family. Thoroughly enjoyed the Upper Desk; 2 had the frield pearch and 2 had fried talpia sandwich platters ($15/each). Their claim to have the BEST LOBSTER BISQUE is really TRUE; probably the best I have ever eaten in this part of the country. Bisque Had large pieces of real lobster; delightfully seasoned and creamy broth was not too heavy as is is some places. Fish were breaded, lightly seasoned and cooked to perfection; sandwich roll was fresh; french fries were good. The presentation was nice in lined tin pans. Service was friendly; restauarnt and rest rooms were clean. Did not have dessert. The only disappointment was the iced tea; had to send back; it had no tastem and all our non-alcholic beverages were served in plastic glasses. The We will definitely go back and take more out of town guests.

I accidentally listed the boathouse as having the best lobster bisque this side of Maine. Opps, meant the Upper Deck. The bisque is excellent.

This is a nice location for lovely views of the water while dining. Eight of us waited about 15 minutes on a Friday night for a table. Our waitress did a nice job attending to our various wants and needs. We ordered a wide variety of entrees. Here were some of the verdicts. Lobster Mac and cheese: excellent, ribs: so-so, Lobster bisque: excellent, Coconut shrimp: so-so, Perch: very good. Overall, the quality of the entree was dependent upon what was ordered.

It's tough to find a spot with gluten-free options in the land of fried fish. However, the Upper Deck was very accommodating. They have gluten free bread and sandwich rolls (Udi's variety), so you can have almost anything on the menu. It's shark week on the Discovery Channel, so they had a shark taco special, which my husband really enjoyed. Only drawback was that the lobster bisque for which they are famous, is not gluten free...bummer. All in all, the waiter was helpful, pleasant, and responsive. The food was good, not gourmet, but good. The drinks were decent and the view was fabulous. From where we sat you could see most of the harbor. We will definitely be back.
