Perry's Victory and International Peace Memorial is pretty amazing. It is a very tall tower (352 feet) of granite built in 1913 to commemorate O.H. Perry's victory over the British in the War of 1812 and celebrate our peace with Canada.
I was pleasantly surprised by the small museum which has a great video describing the Battle of Lake Erie. It also has artifacts and letters from soldiers in battle.
Rangers offer live demonstrations on the weekends (we were there during the week, so we didn't get to see this).
There is an elevator that takes you to the top of the monument, but it was closed at the time for reconstruction because a part of the granite fell off the tower. I believe you can now tour the base of the tower which houses the remains of three American and three British officers killed during the battle.
