The monument was open to visitors and it only cost $3.00 to go to the top! The view was amazing! The national park rangers were very knowledgeable and helpful. (I never knew we had so many islands right around there. I only knew about Put-In-Bay and Kelley's Island.) The Perry's monument museum was beautifully kept and informative. (It was also loaded with great souvenirs.) They were showing the movie about the battle that Perry's monument commemorates.
