It was very busy at the end of June. We had 5 year old twins in our party and other than the lazy river and the play park there isn't much for them to do. It was a nice reprieve from the heat at the end of the day walking around the zoo.

This is a wonderful water park, fun for all ages..My daughter and I take grandkids & spend the day & I mean "the day"!! There is something for all, no matter your age; there is a warm wave pool, a section for babies, a lazy river and lots of fun for everyone. Plenty of chairs are available, some shade, some big umbrellas, even areas for you to reserve for up to 10 people, if you want to spend the extra money. You can get a "fast pass" for a fee for anyone who does not want to stand in line for the many waterslides. An obstacle course, as well as new slides, was added in 2018; the obstacle course is for kids about 6 thru 12. Another thing you will be interested in, is there are free life jackets for mostly kids to use. If spending the day, there is food available for a charge, of course. Coolers cannot be taken into the waterpark, but can be left in an area where you can go to eat, with tables, any time you would like to go. However, getting the kids to go is another story!!! Small coolers can be taken into the park for necessities (baby bottles, diabetic supplies, boxed drinks etc.), no glass, no cans, not even pringle cans.. Believe me, this waterpark if fascinating, a must see and do if you are in the Columbus, Ohio area. Your family will love you if they get to spend a day of hot summer at the waterpark...(Powell is like a suburb of Columbus.) Enjoy your trip down the lazy river, a crash of a wave at the pool, and a thrill ride on one of the numerous water slides.

We had a wonderful time. It was my 4 year olds first water park and he had a blast. He keeps asking to go back. The lazy river is really cool. It’s very clean the water temp was comfortable.

We were in Columbus for a family reunion, and one day was spent at this park. Our group leaders rented a party cabana and that was so worth it. It was a good central place for everyone to meet up and hang out. The park had just enough rides to keep the young kids and teens occupied and happy. It isn't too big of a park, but a great place to cool down and have fun.

If you love big waves and swimming in deep water, Zoombeezie Bay is not the place for you! Do yourself a favor and spend your time and money going to Kings Island’s water park where you’ll be guaranteed a big wave every time! Zoombeezie Bay is chronically under staffed and therefore keeps the rope pulled forward so much so that the waves are effortless. Who wants an effortless wave? It’s been a major disappointment for the past 2 years. If you’re a little kid, it’s a great place to play. But if you’re an adult, wish for another water park to come to Columbus!

Entry was simple. The slides were nice but the lines were really long. It definitely helps to get a Zoom Pass if you don’t like waiting in line for over 30min. We were in one line for almost an hour just for 20 seconds of fun. It was worth it though. The kids really enjoyed the Wave Pool.

Our morning started with the “luggage police” greeting us upon approaching the entrance when he said, “no bags on wheels permitted.” Yet, families with wagons, strollers & jogger strollers rolled in in without a problem. We asked to speak to a manager — she was no help & only recited what the previous employer said. We asked for a reason for this “policy.” Evidently, studies were done one year ago that showed too many park goers tripped on roller bags. Lol!! WTH??! If you saw how this place is inundated w beach bags, you would think this is, too, the most senseless, unsubstantiated policy. A roll away bag would roll right under a lawn chair just as easily as one w/out wheels. They could’ve made a simple adjustment to their policy & asked us to be sure we stow it under a lawn chair. Instead, we had to walk the bag back to our car & car a shopping bag in w our things.

To top off this wonderful experience, the park is filled to the gills w the most inconsiderate people. We parked ourselvrs on one lawn chair & shortly afterward, a woman came by & said it was her chair...along w 16 others that they hoarded!! There was no towel or anything else on or under the chair to indicate it was taken.
She went on further to say she has 8 young kids under the age of 6 to use the 6’ long chairs. She was too selfish to have one of her 8 young guests share a chair to kindly allow our family of three to have one chair. Way to help out someone out on a crowded summer day, lady!
Lastly, I was sitting at a food table, waving my husband & child over to eat lunch when a man parked himself on the other seats with his family of 5 without asking if the table was taken for others. Nope, he just parked himself down & ate furosiously on his nachos. Seriously, we would’ve been happy to have him & his family join our table, but no consideration to even ask first. Then we wonder why kids are growing up without manners.
Keep your unsubstantiated policies, Zoombezi Bay. And rude guests are all yours to cater too...
Never. Coming. Back!!!!!

This was prohibited into park!! Laughable!!!

We bought a zoo/waterpark 2 day pass for almost $200 for a 2 day pass. The zoo was well worth, but the waterpark was definitely not. I am writing a separate zoo review. I read the reviews ahead of time about how long the lines can be, so I came somewhat mentally prepared. Got there at 10:00 and zoomed over to the Cyclone. Waited an hour and felt sorry for the people at the bottom of the stairs because I knew they were in for at least a 2 hour wait. The Zoom pass holders zoomed right past us and made our wait twice as long. Very frustrating. The lines are deceiving also, because there is not only the long lines on the stairs, but there is a separate line at the beginning. I've never seen anything like it. We ended up doing only 2-3 slides, the wave pool, and the lazy river. My kids were really looking forward to this waterpark. They even looked up slides on YouTube in preparation. They were so disappointed, and they wanted to leave after only 3 1/2 hours of being there. My kids have been to many, many waterparks, and have NEVER asked to leave early because the lines are so long. There were also several slides that were closed. Again, very disappointing. We ended up going back to the zoo to enjoy ourselves instead of waiting in lines in the hot sun. I agree with most of the complaints of previous reviewers, but I didn't want to make my review too long! One positive was that the water was warm in the wave pool and the action river. I will spend my waterpark money elsewhere next time.

A wonderful park for a family outing- offers great fun for kids of all ages in a safe and well maintained environment with options for meals and snacks as well as adult beverages on site. We enjoyed a large family cabana rental reservation at additional cost that provides private shaded space with an assortment of outdoor lounge furniture and refrigerator, safe and phone charging station plus complimentary water supply and wait staff service. This is an especially great option for large groups of 8 or more. Most park seating is first come first served and large shaded umbrella areas as well as poolside lounge chairs are available. Small kiddie section for toddlers and children-in-arms is separate from larger kiddie area in the Baboon Lagoon section of the park, primarily for younger kids. There are several other areas ie. Otter Banks as well as large slides and wave pools in other sections of the water park accessible by short walk across various access routes that join all sections of the park. Something for everyone, including an adult "river ride" that allows adult beverages while riding floats or walking in a "flowing" lazy river route. The food is mid-priced but typical pizza, chicken tenders. fries, some veggie offerings and green salads and large chocolate chip cookies. The price of admission varies with multiple coupon and discount offerings available for certain dates and a deep discount for zoo members. Great destination park for Ohio!
