This locals place serves the entire spectrum of people...locals from this sleepy bedroom community of Columbus, wealthier suburbanites, and even Jack Hanna of Columbus Zoo fame and Dave Thomas the founder of Wendy's could be found there(when he was alive). They are known for huge breakfast dishes like omelets, their scrumptious sour dough bread French toast, their surprisingly sweet pancakes, and their piles of bacon or meaty sausage. The breakfast potatoes are inexpensive tasty add ons. Breakfastcomes with coffee. Long lines at peak breakfast and lunch times have improved with a bigger more modern facility. They have IMO the BEST hamburgers on the planet for lunch on grilled ciabotta bread with lettuce, tomato, and choices (at a small fee) of cheese, grilled mushrooms and/or onions, bacon, and my favorite, thick slices of feta or blue cheese. For $1.00, you can add homemade macoroni salad, potato salad, or phenomenal French fries. The owners are a little quirky but fun...don't expect to get lunch until lunch hours, and don't walk in 5 minutes before closing and expect to get served. I shouldn't have written this...don't want this local secret to get any busier! Open 5-8PM Tues-Fri for dinner with select items with BYO and free corking service! Extremely casual.

This place is unique. I love the food and the people (owners and customers). I go there regularly and enjoy every visit. You got to understand the Greek owner is "Greek" ... Need I say more. He can be grumpy but means no harm. They now serve dinner from 5 to 8 PM. Specials were unique and outstanding.

This place doesn't care if you visit or not. Don't bother. Cannot imagine how they have kept a following. We could not establish a good experience with the food or staff. Poor overall.

If you want waxy, smiling faces and pre-cooked meals, do not come here.
If you want incredible food, a relaxed environment, and you're not in a rush, you HAVE to come here.

The owner(s) is truthful and hilarious (two brothers from Greece). If you want him to be nice to you, don't complain to him while he's hand-making your breakfast. I personally find the entire establishment to be unbeaten in Columbus, so I'm glad for all the bad reviews so people don't start crowding up the joint. This is not a hippie or yuppie place, and it's not for any snooty Dublin-ites. There is a heavy crowd of Dublin and Powell regulars (including myself weekly), so you may have to wait a bit.

They recently added another room, increasing their capacity by about 20 people. Sitting on the patio on a Sunday morning is a delight, and it's simple no-frills, solo cup, awesome greasy-spoon food.

That being said, their fruit bowl is incredible, with HUGE helpings of everything interesting and not much melon. Healthy fare is available, and I often get the "Healthy One" omelet with dry toast. The omelet is so packed with fresh spinach and tomatoes that you won't notice it's egg whites. Some authentic Greek dishes appear on the menu, and all are top notch (spamikopita is a plus).

THE GRILLED MUFFIN is the best thing on the menu, and there is not a bad omelet in the house (I've tried them all). The french toast pairs nicely with anything (I recommend it as an appetizer to your omelet).

If you don't want breakfast, go on a Saturday. The lunch menu isn't available on Sunday, and it is packed with incredible sandwiches (the reuben will give you a heart attack and you wont mind).

This place is so hit and miss. Our last time, we said would be our last - our food took so long to arrive, we finally left and went elsewhere. They are very understaffed. The girls are running around providing the best service they can, however, there's just too many tables for far too few servers. Also, the grey haired man who I assume owns it is a true jerk (had another word in here but "we can't accept reviews that use profanity") - try and get his attention. Food is OK, and a generally good value for breakfast - Powell has so few other options, but when Powell does get a quality breakfast establishment, Hellas will be hurt in a big way.
