The zoo continues to make improvements in their natural settings for the animals. The place is huge and well laid out too. Be sure and go for the lights around the holidays.

We moved to Columbus a little over a year ago and one of the first things we did was buy a Zoo membership. For the price of about 4 or 5 trips to the Zoo we could enter all year long, and bring along two friends. The membership paid for itself in a matter of weeks. Not having to worry about "seeing everything" when you buy a day pass meant we could stroll through the park without worry or time constraints. We estimate that we have visited the Zoo about 30 times over the past year. Each time we saw something new. The place is enormous and the wildlife so varied that you can focus on something different each time you're there. Food is expensive, but if you purchase a reusable cup you can get cheap refills all year long. If you don't want to buy food you can just pack a lunch. Located in the Zoo is Jungle Jack's Landing. Although you have to purchase tickets for the rides, the cost is minimal. The rides are great fun for kids and we found that it is an inexpensive alternative to taking toddlers to larger amusement parks. Our kids also love the interactive animal exhibits which have allowed them to pet and otherwise get close to much exotic wildlife. I cannot say enough good things about this place because I know so many family memories have been and will be made here!

It is easy to understand why the Columbus Zoo is so highly rated! It is easy to get around in and you can see the whole place in one day. There are many endangered animials on display along with descriptions of programs the zoo has on-going to protect endangered species around the world. Don't miss the giant bats!

Went to the zoo for a family outing. They had their wildlights show in December and it was awesome. Our two young children loved the lights and music. There were not many animals out, but the light show made our trip worth it.

Jack Hannah is the man! This zoo is top notch. The animals and the grounds are so well cared for. There are even rides in the zoo and it is connected to a water park! The shows are great as well. This is easily a 2 day adventure. Dont miss it!
