“Great setting and OK food.”
Reviewed June 5, 2014

We stopped in for a get-away lunch. The diner decor is a true flash back, very nicely done. It has booths and counter stools and a pretty extensive diner style menu. There is also seating outside. The diner overlooks the runway at the Port Clinton Airport and it was fun to watch the planes take-off and land. the service was very good. We both had the fried perch and were disappointed in the fish. The batter was pretty good but the fish was very dry, almost as if it was freezer burned instead of being fresh. We also had their homemade mac-n-cheese as a side dish and it was excellent. There is also an aviation museum in the same building with a very modest entrance fee for those who like that kind of thing.

“The 50's never tasted so good”
Reviewed May 20, 2014

The Tin Goose Diner located in the Liberty Aviation Museum is a restored 1950's diner serving excellent food in a nostalgic setting. The food is tasty and reasonably priced and the milkshakes take you back to simpler times.

“The... Best... Mac and Cheese... Ever - But there's more!”
Reviewed May 14, 2014

I love mac and cheese. It doesn't matter how fancy the restaurant is, I'll take mac and cheese over a steak any day. That being said, in all the places we've dined the Tin Goose has by far the best mac and cheese. But wait, there is more then mac and cheese! Their onion rings are huge and others we have dined with rave about the burgers as well as the tuna melt. For those who love the 1940s-50's you'll really enjoy the atmosphere. The only down side is that it's only open until 7pm so if you want to go for dinner it's going to need to be an early dinner. And it does get crowded too and the wait area is small. But, the aviation museum is just a few feet away so if you do have a long wait the museum is a nice way to spend your time.

“Diner With a View”
Reviewed April 15, 2014

This diner is a great place to stop during a visit to Port Clinton. It’s a laid back atmosphere serving traditional diner food (they don’t serve the breakfast menu after 12pm). The grilled cheese, BLT and fries are good (the onion rings and fried mushrooms were too heavily breaded).

The biggest draw is the view which allows patrons to watch airplanes arrive and depart while enjoying their meals.

The museum is an entertaining way to spend an hour or so. For Clark Gable fans, it is important to note that his military uniform is displayed in the lobby.

“Awesome trip”
Reviewed March 9, 2014

My boyfriend and I drove out to grab some food here after he tried it while out flying one day. It was a great atmosphere and we really enjoyed the food! The location was cool. We enjoyed the museum afterwards! Will definitely go back!
