Fortunately I'm a sound sleeper cause the railroad crossing on the other side of the highway requires a signal from passing trains. The chainsaw was a daytime problem because they were maintaining their landscaping. The whole facility was bright and clean. The staff are personable and professional. The breakfast room and food were great.

I had to change the sheets on the bed as they looked as though someone had slept there earlier. The view from the window was unattractive. They were out of bananas for breakfast. The sausage and eggs were prefab. I did not expect much but this was dissappointing. The train was not much of a problem.

Room Tip: Keep driving

There are not many choices of hotels in Piketon, but the Comfort Inn is probably the best choice. Friendly staff, nice breakfast buffet (sausage patties everyday except Tuesday, which is BACON day!). There is a nice gas grill by the pool if you want to cook a steak.

The only drawback is the train tracks across the road. They have to whistle for unmarked crossings, so you get to hear them several times a day/night. Rooms on the backside are quieter.

If I return to the area, I will stay here again.

Room Tip: Rooms in the back get a bit less train noise.

Actually, it's the only place to stay in Piketon (well there is the Piketon Motel but that's a different story). Room was clean, comfortable, spacious). Would have given this property a 4 star rating if it weren't for I could hear the guests in the adjoining room talking and I could hear the television (muffled) but nonetheless annoying. And the train comes through at all times of night and the engineer loves his air horn. Breakfast was good - standard fare. Staff really nice. Would stay there again but I'd get a room away from the front of the building.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the back side of the building to reduce train noise.

Had a one night stay.Beds, pillows, room was clean and very comfy! Morning breakfast was pretty good, good variety for me. Staff was friendly, attentive, and helpful! I recommend staying as far away from the train track as possible. But I would stay here again and recommend it

I have been staying in this hotel off and on for several months now for business. The staff has generally been wonderful and even helped with getting a better price and room to meet business rates. Towels and beeding were always clean and requests to fix the little things in the room were all eventually taken care of. Breakfast is pallitable but not exciting, find somewhere else if this matters to you. Beware of the train. The south facing top floors really amplifies the horns which seem to come by about every 20 - 30 minutes. I have always had a non-smoking room and usually woke up smelling the smoke from others. The internet does bog down when the hotel is full of guests and is intermittent during the more robust storms. Cable to TV doesn't like the storms either. There is only one wasaher and one dryer and more expensive to use than I found at better hotels. This is a real good hotel comparable to others of the same rating. The staff more than makes up for its lower quality rating.

Room Tip: Beware of the train noise and smoke permeates the building.

The first thing you'll notice is the crazy parking lot. Lots of angles and parking spaces laid out weird. A glance at the pool leaves much to be desired. Lots of stuff floating on the water. I suppose it's hard to keep clean with all the trees around. Once inside, the smell of cleaning supplies hits you. Not very pleasant. Then, as you wait to get checked in you notice the little things. Just run down, clean but a piece of moulding missing here and part of a countertop missing there, that kind of thing. Service is quick and friendly. The elevator works fine up to the second floor. Carpet in hallways looks clean but there's that smell of cleaning supplies. The door on our room was crooked in the door frame. Big gap at the top of the door on the latch side...like an inch! Door latched fine but, again, the place is just ran down. The room is roomy enough and doesn't feel crowded. The beds are pretty high off the floor, the decor is clean and nice looking, there's an iron/ironing board, TV, small table with two chairs, a floor lamp, luggage stand, hangers in the closet as well as a laundry bag, another small table, a dresser and a night stand. There is also a microwave and refrigerator. The bathroom is roomy with a very large countertop and one sink, full shower/tub and toiletries. There is a coffee maker and blow dryer in there. Nice towels. The room appears to be clean, however our one year old daughter's knees and feet were filthy from crawling on the floor. Air conditioner worked fine. The in-room coffee was good. The pillows were fluffy and plentiful. The beds were comfortable and we didn't wake up stiff and sore with our hips numb. NICE! We did hear a couple of trains but it wasn't too bad, the air conditioner provided just enough white noise to make it hardly noticeable. Breakfast looked pretty lame. We didn't eat there but looked at it briefly. Some pre-fab eggs, a waffle maker, biscuits and gravy (frozen, I'm sure) and some cold cereal. Maybe some toast and bagels. Not what we were looking for so we went to Bob Evans in Waverly. The staff is super friendly and really made you feel like they cared that you were comfortable and had what you needed. We'll probably stay there again if the need arises.

Room Tip: We were on the odd-numbered side of the hallway and the train didn't bother us but we could hear...
