Description: The Rose and Thistle founded by Lee Tebbetts(deceased) in 2001 and now run and owned by Chef Matthew Gustovson, offers elegant fine dining with an emphasis on service that makes everyone feel like a local. The menu which is ever changing, keeps up with the only fresh ingredients, including amazing seafood, hand cut steaks and what the seasons bring through the door. The top shelf bar offers a great place to mingle with locals and visitors alike, great wines, tapped local beers make The Rose and Thistle one of the tastiest and friendliest places in Perrysburg.

Rose and Thistle is a pleasant surprise in an area where good dining in difficult to find. I would say it's one of the best experiences in Northwest Ohio. I am from the area and I know it's very hard to find eclectic dining experiences in the area. Every time we visit family, we search for a hidden gem. We found it in Rose and Thistle. Even though they did not have the lobster dish that I wanted (we arrived too late), everything was excellent from drinks to dessert. The seafood was excellent as well as the service. Very nice and intimate atmosphere.

Very romantic atmosphere and excellent food. Can't go wrong! However, make sure to make a reservation. Although its never very busy, I've seen the restaurant turn people away without a reservation---even a large group.

This is a very fine little restaurant in downtown Perrysburg. There is always a delicious seafood item on the menu-like scallops!! A specail place to celebrate a special occasion or just have a drink at the cozy bar.

The food is always excellent here. The staff is very friendly and the owner (Lee) is an excellent host and will always talk with customers in the bar area. The restaurant is small which adds to its appeal as it makes your dining experience very personal. Expect to spend at least $150 for a couple including tip..

Small place but excellent all around. We had reservations at 7 pm, arrived and were seated immediately. The dinning room is small, candle lit and has nice music playing. The menu has a adequate amount of choices, not a large menu, but plenty of a selection for anyone. Only bad mark of the night was we waited around 10 minutes before anyone even came to us to ask for our drink order. This was because of a large party that the 1 waitress working was already taking orders for. The hostess noticed this and took our drink order. When the waitress was free, she took our order, was very nice and the food arrived at a very quick rate.

The bread was very good, my wife and I both ordered the Beef Wellington. I have to say it was cooked pretty well, a little under, but it was fantastic! Comes with potatoes and green beans, both were very delicious. We had Creme Brulee for desert which was so good I thought about getting more. The prices are a little above average, but the portions were perfect! Great value for your money. We had just come back from Las Vegas, and these portions were comparable, but the prices were much lower. Expect a 3 course meal with drinks to be in the $50-$60 range a person.

Overall we were very happy with the location, the atmosphere, service and food. We have just found a new favorite restaurant to add to our list!
