Having been to Perrysburg multiple times (a little gem of a town on the Maumee River), until now we have never been able to find decent food options. Having eaten some great meals by reading other Trip Advisor reviews, I decided to peruse the site for options in Perrysburg and once again, we were not disappointed!! SWIG is a little 'hole in the wall' joint that has a huge listing of "craft" beers (as well as a full bar with a fine selection of large production beers). HOWEVER, more importantly, it is a first class Charcuterie. The meats on the menu are all "homemade" from the corned duck (yes, you read it correctly) to the bratwurst. They smoke their own hams, bacon and the Italian salami's and lunch meats in their sandwiches are first rate!! They have a delectable cheese/beer soup with homemade kielbasa which is divine!! The waitstaff are exceptionally pleasant and knowledgeable. There is typically a 'special' that is served with a 'twist'. On the day we visited it was a cheddar stuffed chicken bratwurst which we did not opt for given the more appealing pork and beef selections. The only drawback are the 'confined quarters' which radically limits the seating. We were there on Saturday (3/1/14) and the temperatures were POLAR and people were still waiting outside at 1:30 in the afternoon (granted, it wasn't a long line, but a line nonetheless). Apparently, on the weekends there is music starting at 9:00 p.m., but that 'scene' has no appeal for us 'foodies'. We are looking forward to our next visit, however, since we are retired we will visit through the week when there may be less pressure on seating and, a little quieter atmosphere. Of course, when Walleye fishing on the Maumee, who is crazy enough to go on the weekends anyway??

This place was recommended by a friend, and I was skeptical that a hot dog place would be enjoyable, but our food was amazing! My wife had the daily special, an off-menu item: Cuban marinated flank steak sandwich, drizzled with honey jalapeno mustard, topped with microgreens and caramel popcorn. Yes you read that right caramel corn. It was a very unique taste... not something she could eat every day but very delicious and taste bud appealing. I had a bbq Italian beef sandwich which was also quite tasty and the French fries were delicious. We topped our meal off with a chocolate covered bacon sundae topped in bourbon glazed pineapple. YUM! We don't drink that often, but they appeared to have a great craft beer selection. Everything is made in restaurant...even the ketchup. Unique flavors and reasonable prices. The restaurant is small with limited seating. Getting a seat might be difficult at peak time. We will definitely return.

This is one of the best kept secrets in the region. They do an amazing job keeping a great selection of beers on hand (although I'd prefer more Belgian styles, personally.) They are clearly well-connected to what's hot in craft brews .The house made sausages and hot dogs are fantastic, but the duck reuben is my favorite.

My only complaint is that it's a little small and would love to see them expand upstairs or next door if they ever got a chance.

We went back for the burgers, and sweet potato fries. We've been mostly in summer, stopping by for a beer from their large "on-tap" selection, and bar food. This time it was frigid mid-January, and we were not disappointed. We both had burgers with fries, sweet potato and regular. The burgers were cooked as ordered. They were delicious and I'd have to say the best in town. Service was prompt, friendly and courteous. Prices are in line with similar establishments. By the time we left, not a seat was empty and there was a line, on a Monday night! That is the ultimate compliment.

The food here is good. I think they have the best burgers in town. Wings are very good also. Fun casual bar atmosphere.
