Had lunch on 5/25 at El Vaquero. Place was not busy. Chips and salsa arrived quickly and and were pretty good. Lunch entrees (Ground Beef burrito w/beans and rice and the Speedy Gonzales) were about what one would expect from a chain Mexican restaurant; not bad but certainly not memorable. The portions were ample and prices were reasonable but the taste and quality, in our opinion, didn't come close to comparison with Loma Linda's, Carmel's, Barron's, and several other local places. Maybe a couple of margaritas would have helped!
