This is billed as an upscale restaurant. No table clothes, chairs are bumping up against the people next to you, no bread on the table, wait staff was overworked and service was very slow. The food actually was pretty good, but not great. They have some work to do, to make this a quality restaurant. Wine by the glass choices are limited and poor selections. Much better restaurant choices in Oxford.

Now called MIA, the Dipaolos continue to provide Oxford with a fresh, quality menu, and a classy dining atmosphere. My family recently met at MIA for a New Year's Eve dinner. We each ordered different dishes, but sampled one another's meals. Each was delicious - crafted with care and a creative, conceptual recipe. Seafood specials are a rarity in Oxford, and MIA's didn't disappoint. The dining room was spacious and empty at 5:30 PM. This is partially due to Miami University students being on break.
If there is anything on the online menu that interests you, you may wish to all ahead and check that the menu is current. Two members of our party were disappointed to find out that certain dishes were no longer being offered, when it was MIA's online menu that convinced us to dine there in the first place.
I am disappointed in the bar area that was at one time called 3 Trees Irish Pub. What was once an inviting visual space with trees acting as support beams, organic architecture, and warm colors, has been replaced with a mediocre hotel bar. The trees have been removed, and the beautiful, stone wall at the entrance has been defiled with a graffiti-style, glow-in-the-dark spray paint MIA logo. I will never forgive the person who thought that was a good idea, or the "artist" who followed through with it.
Overall, MIA is lovely place to visit with family or a date. The prices are a bit higher than your average Oxford restaurant, but that is reflected in the quality of their menu.

When we called to make a reservation for 9, they did not tell us that the restaurant had a different name and menu. We were told that there was an option of a buffet . There was no buffet, they ran out of food and it took an hour and 1/2 to get served (and it took forever to get our bill.) This was family weekend in Oxford and they were totally understaffed and unprepared.

This restaurant just isn't there yet. There is absolutely no excuse for an upscale Italian restaurant to serve inferior low grade olive oil. It looked more like white wine, no color or taste. Entrees were inconsistent. Chicken was tough like leather in the Del a Casa. Our waiter was inexperienced and the bartender was aloof even though it was not busy. As a consolation, both rooms are very nice and my entree was one of the better ones at the table. My recommendation is for the owner to visit Bravo, and take a note pad!

We were in Oxford to spend Easter with our son who is a student at Miami University. There weren't a lot of options for Easter Brunch and we needed to leave before the other restaurants were open for dinner so we kind of stumbled on DiPaolo's. We were absolutely blown away by the quantity of the offerings and the high quality of the food. While this was served buffet style we never felt rushed by the attentive staff. We will definitely make this a regular stop on future visits to Miami.
