Oxford isn't a very large town. If fact, if the University hadn't set up shop here back in 1809, this area may still be a corn field today.
What I love about Patterson's: Variety of choices. HUGE pancakes that would give WIlla Wonka a run on his imagination - I'm talking Uncle Buck, flip them with a snow shovel, big. The Fatty Benni. Their menu is just awesome. Also, they have a full service bar - A bar at a breakfast/Lunch restaurant you say? Well its not like a Bar, but, they do have liquor for things like Irish coffee, a tequila sunrise, or mimosas. Did I say a Man-mosa? They have those too! The staff is great!
What I dislike: It's ALWAYS jam-packed on Saturday/Sunday. Always. This isn't a fault of Patterson's Cafe - they have a lot of seating space. They're just so dang popular with BOTH the college kids and the local residents. Plus, there are not many other choices in Oxford for a sit down breakfast. If you want a table for more than two on a weekend morning _get there early_.
In short: If you don't mind it being busy on the weekends, and love great food that isn't like every other breakfast chain, this IS the place to go. Bon Appetite!!!
