This is a two-storey property just outside of the college town of Oxford, OH. Likely reserved for parents coming in to see their kids, sport meets, etc. Functional for them. Let me say that any negative criticism is easily measured with the kind and friendly staff. They will go out of their way to accommodate requests. Very sweet, considerate people. Oh, and there's a chair for sale in the lobby for thirty dollars. And free cookies.
There is no restaurant in the hotel, breakfast area only, which consists of cereals, waffles, breads, pastries. It's acceptable fare. There is nothing within walking distance, which is a shame as the town is rife with great places, many of which deliver to this hotel. if you're hoping for a cocktail, you're out of luck. Drive or cab. The pool is directly across from the front desk, and the small gym is located inside the pool area. You can work on your cannonballs as people check in.
I had a little problem getting hot water. Had to run the tap for about 5 minutes, while staring guiltily staring at the "save our planet" sign. The sink and mirror are outside of the bathroom in the actual room. I had virtually no cable on the tv. Not that I minded, but it was completely snowy reception on every channel. Luckily the wifi is decent and was entertainment enough.
Beds are comfortable but overall this place is a little dated and I'm sure if it wasn't so reasonably priced it would worth staying somewhere more central (if that's even possible).
This property served it's purpose for a couple of days.
