The Allen Memorial Art Museum is a nice little museum to visit for a couple of hours, but you're likely to come away a little disappointed in the small size of the collection, though there are some gems to be seen.
The building itself is quite lovely and impressive from the outside and even inside on the main floor it's nice...just much smaller than you would have thought from looking at the exterior.
There are handheld tour guides you can borrow to use on specific items and these explanations are quite good and add a lot to the visit, but don't expect that you will spend more than a few hours at most in the museum...there's just not that much there on display.
