“Good food, great pizza”
Reviewed November 9, 2013

Frankie's is not a chain and that's a good thing. They have the usual Italian fare and do a pretty good job with it. The Frankie Salad is great for sharing - it is piled high on a plate with loads of cheese and best enjoyed with their house dressing, a homemade sweet and sour. Their pizza is wonderful, probably what they do best. On Tuesdays after 5 PM, all pizzas are half price. You need to get an early seat or you will be waiting a long time for dinner.

“Basic, bland Italian”
Reviewed October 14, 2013

I had dinner here last night with my family. Though the service was friendly and attentive, I did not have a good experience.

It should point out how bad the Italian food is when I say, the best thing on the table was the potato chips that came with my Grandson's chicken wings.

My spaghetti and Italian sausage was pathetic. The sausage was grainy and over cooked. The spaghetti was soggy, and the sauce had only the flavor of tomato. And there was too much sauce. The bread was a basic white bread hoagie roll, and the olive oil was ordinary. My wife had the linguine and clam sauce, which looked like lumpy school paste.

Never again

“Frankies is Fantastic”
Reviewed August 3, 2013

This Italian restaurant is wonderful. It is a great alternative to the Italian chain restaurants in the area. Make sure to get the house salad with the homemade dressing. It is pilled high with fantastic cheese. All the meals are moderately priced and the bread is second to none.

“Real Deal”
Reviewed July 19, 2013 via mobile

We had the pleasure of eating at Frankie's a couple of days ago. It was busy and we had to wait (it was Family Night). But the wait was worth it. The Italian sausage with angel hair was fantastic... And served ever so hot! And my partner enjoyed the best ever eggplant Parmesan... She was ever so pleased. Prices are realistic and the service is good. So our advice is have a dinner there but skip Tuesday night unless you've got kids and want to have half priced pizzas.

“Hidden gem”
Reviewed July 18, 2013

The restaurant is located in a strip mall and has minimal atmosphere - plastic booths and bare tables - but the food is outstanding. The Shrimp Mediterranean is to die for, and the Caprese Salad is a full dinner (or two) in itself. I've tried several entrees from the menu, and everything tastes fresh and perfectly cooked - not overdone like a lot of Italian restaurants. Service is attentive, but if it's crowded it will be slower. Tuesday nights are the most crowded - that night offers 1/2 price appetizers, as well as pizza and wine specials, plus a 'balloon lady' for the kids. I eat at this restaurant every time I'm in the Cleveland area and have never been disappointed.
