This is a nice smaller Air Museum. Especially when they bring in special attractions. It is close to the airport and easy to find. Close to Canton and Akron.

This museum was well put together with a little something for everyone. We had a great time learning, observing, and shopping in the gift shop and I know NOTHING about air craft. Even the atmosphere is set right: when you stroll thru the air hanger which houses WWII planes and the blimp, there's light 1940's big band and swing music playing. The day we were there, volunteers were working on restoring equipment and planes. They seem very dedicated to these planes and the displays.

There's a 2nd main temperature-controlled room that houses several men's and women's uniforms, medals, documentation, video interviews, model planes, etc.

There are two seperate, very clean restrooms. And even a few vending machines to grab a snack and a .75 can of pop. We found the staff very friendly and eager to help. (I also overheard a staff member saying they hold weddings here and receptions in the hanger area.)

I believe the fee for an adult was $8/day. Personally, we got in free due to participating in the car show that was held on the grounds.

A+ for the MAPS museum. We were impressed!

I'm a F-4 fan and there was a nice example of a Marine F4S complete with a small stand to peer into the cockpit. Brought back some memories hanging out under the wing of one years ago. There is also a gondola from the Goodyear blimp that crashed in my neighborhood. The B26 being restored is right on the museum floor with several folks working on it.

Not the biggest airplane museum in Ohio, but is pretty accessible and a lot of fun.
