Loved the hiking trails, swimming, & kayaking. The children enjoyed the activities. My grown up sons liked the archery range, fishing & golfing.

Great camping park for the family. The campsites were large, clean and nicely wooded for weather coverage. The bathrooms were clean. Great activities for the kids too. The trails were fantastic for all the trail running enthusiasts.

One con is the distance from the camping to the beach - although this seems crazy. We had kids and the walk to the beach and lake were too far so we had to drive. That is the only negative so if you can stand walking a little distance or driving a mile or two then this is the park for you.

Punderson State Park is a shining example of the excellence of Ohio’s state park system. This immaculate and beautifully maintained facility is open year round and provides a variety of recreational activities for day visits and overnight stays at the lodge, cabins or campground. There is no fee to enter the park.

The manor house is gorgeous. It has only 31 guest rooms, indoor and outdoor pools, dining room, cocktail lounge, gift shop and meeting/ banquet facilities. Views through the large windows are exquisite. Guests may also choose a furnished, two bedroom cottage. Three cottages are pet friendly. The lodge is not. We did not go inside the rooms in the manor or the cabins. For additional information and photos, go to www.pundersonmanorstateparklodge.com.

Throughout the pet friendly camping area are paved roads and pads. There are five full hookup sites. All sites are electric except the primitive area. Group camping is available. Clean, modern lavatories are numerous. Some have showers. The lush grass and fantastic views in the highest elevation made it my favorite part of the campground.

Trails, picnic tables and charcoal grills are scattered throughout the park. Pavilions and a chalet are available for rent. Located by the sledding hill and tennis courts, the chalet has a large parking lot. Inside are rows of picnic tables, an open kitchen area and a huge, wood burning fireplace. Sliding glass doors with screens open onto a large, cement patio and lawn.

Punderson State Park has a small public marina with a ramp and rentals. Electric motors and non-motorized vehicles are allowed on the lake. There is a public beach that is nothing special.

We spent a wonderful four days at Punderson State Park and highly recommend it.

The cabins were a disappointment...beaten....as if quite a few rough parties had been held there. The outside/outdoor appearance of the park is beautiful but I was surprised to see that cabin maintenance had not been maintained...and these were not damages that had happened just before I arrived.

Both a beautiful lodge and a beautiful setting. The accomodations in the lodge are very nice -but bring your own coffee.
I enjoyed a breakfast brunch in the restaurant which was okay. I ate all my other meals out as I believed reports of high prices and average food.
