While this restaurant is a "Pub" by definition, the food is varied and top notch. The service is prompt and courteous and always with a smile. Problems don't upset them (i.e. wrong beer...exchanged quickly) It is a bit loud and times but mostly a group can talk in normal voice and, more importantly, can hear what is said. Go here!

We've eaten here both visits to Newark. They know their business - delicious fried things (turkey burger not bad), good with milkshakes or beer. Bustling, but good service. Last time we were excited to share regular and sweet potato fries, but they werent really hot. Waitress made sure we got a piping hot replacement. Practically a meal in itself. Skip the sweet sauce that comes with them, clearly ketchup is called for:)

Appetizer was fried dill pickles. Breading was heavy and took away from the taste of the pickles. Had Red Oak meatloaf mashed potatoes with gravy. The meatloaf had sweet barbeque mash potatoes on top with gravy. Barbeque was sweet and with gravy not exactly tasty. Had been there before and had their peanut butter burger. Didn't like that either. Likely won't go back.

Ate here twice while in the Newark area. Good bar food menu with very good selection of beer. Service staff was terrific both times. Highly recommend for lunch or light dinner.

Every time I go into this place I find something new and delicious! From the mashed potatoes to the baloney sandwich, you can't go wrong! The burgers are fabulous and made a million different ways. You will not believe you are in a sports bar when you taste their food! I may be selling the Pub short by calling it a sports bar because there are plenty of tables! The food prices are also a little more than your average sports bar but well worth it.
