As one of the oldest hotels in Yogyakarta, this property is quite well-maintained. Excellent hospitality and all the staffs are very attentive.

Rooms are OK but not as expected.

The best thing of this property is just the excellent services of all the staffs, specially the receptionist, the supervisor - Mr Canggih, and room QC Mr Ratno. Thank you so much for your help during our stay.

every time i go to jogja, mostly i will stay at this hotel. this hotel is by far my favorite. the room is clean and quite spacious, the foods are great. and it is located near the mall. the pools are also great. they have kids club and garden also, and they have little zoo so the kids will love it.

It was truly memorable. I'm thankful to everyone who has made my stay so unforgettable. Special mention goes to Mr. Bambang who helped me with a transport problem, Mr. Bangkit who explained the finer details of Javanese cuisine to me, Mr. Arie who took me to see the royal ballet, Mr. Canggir who took time off to show me around the hotel and shared its history with me and Mr. Agga who taught me how to distinguish between Batik Yogya and Batik Solo.

Room tip: A room facing the volcano is splendid!

Dear Mr Bolomenino

Many thanks for a super review, I have passed your kind comments onto all you mention and read the email you have also sent to all my management team.

We have wonderful staff here, and whilst it is important to fix something that goes wrong, it is also equally important to give recognition for when it goes right.

Thank you again, and hope to see you back again soon.

This hotel is extremely good the rooms, the facilities, and cleanliness was fantastic.

But sadly this hotel do miss its personalized touch for its guest, as a legacy hotel in Yogyakarta, they should have been able to train their staff better, with a warmer and local javanese touch, i feels like checking in on a normal 5 stars hotel in bustling business district. They should train the staff better for greetings.

anw the MATTRESS IS AMAZING!

We were very excited when we first heard about this high tea ceremony at Royal Ambarrukmo Hotel. We were looking a unique experience to be remembered by our family and this one was the perfect one!

Every Friday at 4PM, by reservation, Royal Ambarrukmo held a traditional ritual of high tea ceremony (Patehan) continue with ancient archery called Jemparingan.

Unfortunately, we cannot make it on Friday but had a chance to contact their sales person, Mba Ipoet who was so helpful and kind to accept our last minute booking for private Patehan Ceremony. In this private booking, we didn't have the Jemparingan since it's only for Friday, however they provided us with Javanese costume to be more into the feel of royal family. How awesome!

Mba Ipoet and Mba Lina who were really helped us from the costume fitting until we finished the ceremony, continued with taking pictures around the Keraton Pesanggrahan. Mba Lina explained about the history briefly and clearly as she took us on a museum tour.

After we put the costume on, we walked to the museum enjoying the pictures of royal families. We also saw the place of Sultan to rest and meditate. We can feel the ambience was really sacred. The high tea ceremony went well...our family was beyond happy for this experience.

Thankyou Mba Ipoet, Mba Lina and all the hotel staff who helped us and welcome us with a warm greetings.

We definitely will recommend it to our friends and relatives.
