Description: A quaint cafe & bistro set along the banks of the Ohio River in the historic village of New Richmond, Ohio, the Front Street Cafe began as an idea to bring the people of New Richmond, Anderson Township, and other surrounding towns together to chat, have coffee, sandwiches, and other baked goods while peacefully looking over the Ohio River and Kentucky hills. But like the town of New Richmond and Front Street itself, the cafe has evolved, adding delicious dinner entrees from our in-house chef de cuisine Damien Laughton, a fully-stocked bar serving popular beers, wines, and spirits, a stage for our live backyard musical performances, and an outdoor grill for summertime barbequing. Stop by for a hot panini sandwich, juicy ribeye steak, pan-seared seafood special, a slice of BonBonerie's Opera Cream Cake, or a cup of freshly brewed coffee or latte, and stay for live music, great views, and warm hospitality!

“Great food and entertainment!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 24, 2013

Located on Front Street in Old New Richmond's Historic district, a del good destination with a surprising international type menu, reasonably priced and entertainment (very good I may add) Wednesday through Saturday, There is a nice sized outdoor patio in the warmer months to eat, have some good adult beverages, and listen to great entertainment. Becoming a destination for Cincinnatians from all over the region

“Nice location, poor service”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 10, 2012

My wife and I ate here for Sunday lunch having visited for the summer monthly outdoor New Richmond antique show. Although the food was fairly good [not spectacular by any means], the service was lacking. Wanting to sit outdoors, we first sat inside after finding the outdoor sidewalk tables full [there were four tables]. The inside restaurant was empty. After about five minutes someone took our drink order of iced tea at our front window indoor table. Shortly after that an outdoor table vacated, so we moved out to the sidewalk table, and we let them know we were moving outdoors. From there it was as if we'd been forgotten. After ten minutes of nothing, our drinks never came. When my wife went inside to inquire, the iced teas were served only when the restaurant owner appeared with them. Shortly after that the waiter appeared and took our order of lunch sandwiches. Twenty minutes later [and only after my wife went indoors to inquire] the sandwiches appeared. It was as if we were not important to the waiters, and there were only two waiters that I could see. The place wasn't busy at all. The one who didn't wait directly on us came out and filled the iced tea glasses of the other tables, but not ours. When I requested a refill of iced tea upon receipt of our meals, it never came. Again, my wife had to go inside to get it. The meals? Good food, but for a supposed "hot sandwich" [mine was a Reuben], it was cold on the inside. Served with chips [ladled from a bag from the supermarket and not a restaurant specialty] and a pickle, it was good but nothing to rave about. For a restaurant right on the Ohio River, it should have been much better. Location is one thing, but service was sorely missing. I left there feeling like I'd imposed upon them instead of being made to feel like they wanted me back. I don't think we'll be stopping there again. Maybe they step it up in the evenings, but then again, I'm not impressed the first time.

“Relax by the River”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 28, 2012

Great location for this friendly "Cafe". casual lunch menu, greatly expanded offerings for dinner. All the entrees are very tasty and well presented. Add this to the wide variety of live entertainment and you have all the ingredients for an evening to remember. For a casual evening it should be added to your calendar of events.
