“Very nice Restaurant”
Reviewed October 28, 2012

This specialty restaurant in downtown Nelsonville was extremely nice. The menu was limited but the meals were very good. The evening we ate there they were short handed. It did take awhile to get our meals, but the staff was very nice and gave us extra bread to sop up the alcohol we were drinking! The wine list was good and fairly priced for a restaurant. I would definetly go back. They had live entertainment (dinner music) which was really nice.

“Wonderful”
Reviewed September 14, 2012

My husband and I have had just about every anniversary dinner there. I take my mother there for mothers day. Really any excuse to eat there is a good one. The food is Amazing. They have an wonderful Filet but even there bread is delicious. And if you have a sweet tooth you should not leave with out trying the Beignets. (I get these every time and have even brought some home yes they are that good)!!

“Wow! Don't Miss This Experience”
Reviewed September 10, 2012

Four of us just happened to be in Nelsonville for the train ride when we walked around the town square afterward and saw this restuarant. We stopped in to see what it was like and liked the looks of it. We made a reservation for 6:30, went back to our cabin to clean up and change, and made it back by 6:30 for the most delightful evening of our trip. Some locals told us this was a good restaurant but expensive. Well, compared to the city, it was not expensive. Prices were below what we pay for comparable food at home. The food was outstanding. I had the squash bisque for a starter and it was incredible...smooth, flavorful, yummy. Four of us had four different entrees and each was delicious. One of us had the strawberry sorbet for dessert so each of us got a spoon and sampled it....again - the best we've ever tasted. They make it themselves. Our server, Chum, was friendly and helpful. Water glasses were kept full. We had a tasty complimentary cracker and cheese sample before dinner and a little macaroon goody afterward. Autumn, the executive chef, came out to talk to us and receive accolades for an outstanding dining experience. The restauarant is staffed by students from the culinary school at Hocking Hills College. From our experience, they must all be A+ students. A jazz guitarist named Dale Kulchar sang and played during dinner, making it an absolutely fine dining experience. If you like a quiet, classy setting with jazz background music and first class food, you won't want to miss this restaurant.

“A Gem near Hocking Hills”
Reviewed July 16, 2012

We recently had the pleasure of dining at Rhapsody Music and Dining and had an amazing experience. What you may not know is that the culinary students at the nearby Hocking College, run the restaurant and do a marvelous job! From the appetizers to the entres' the whole experience was delightful. We have dined there twice now, having taken friends with us the second time. The decor is lovely, and they have live music for your dining enjoyment. One of the delicious appetizers was Salmon cakes, and then a summer vegetable salad with asparagus and beets. Our guests had a pasta dish with mussels, and I enjoyed a Cornish Hen. Don't miss the desserts because their signature is Beignets that are a puff of pure pleasure. They also make their own ice cream and sorbets that are delish! If you're spending time in Hocking Hills, or just want a new restaurant to try, your taste buds will thank you for stopping by!

“Sophisticated Food in a Small Town Setting”
Reviewed March 20, 2012

We were in the area to visit Ohio U and got tickets to see a play in Nelsonville. A few doors down was Rhapsody, so we gave it a try. What a treat! A creative menu with a range of delicious choices. Great service. A lovely room with beautiful art on the walls. Great music. If we lived locally, this would be our favorite dinner venue. Sweet potato soup and truffle macaroni and cheese scored big points! Bonus: food was artistically plated. Bravo to the staff and creative energy behind this great restaurant!
