Recently my husband and I were meeting someone from out of town staying in Columbus so we picked a mid point to meet. In searching the Mt Gilead area, finding a good restaurant was slim at best. Stopping at a local market, a gentleman recommended the newly opened Hatfield's. Initially we were a bit apprehensive as the outside is pretty basic and rugged. But inside was clean and the staff was very friendly. Our waitress recommended the Pulled Pork Sandwich and the Beef and Noodles and we weren't disappointed. Both were cooked perfectly and delicious. Then to top off our evening, we enjoyed homemade brownies and blueberry pie! Both were perfect--no surprise. When we are back in this area, we will most definitely stop back to this restaurant. Very very good!
