“Lovely!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 9, 2013

Tucked away in the rolling hills of Amish country is this lovely in. It had a "lodge" type building with some guest rooms, I am guessing maybe 2 dozen on it's 3 floors, along with a dozen rooms in another location built in a hill; they looked interesting an Hope to stay in them next time. We stayed in the top floor of the lodge and the room with very unique. It had a slanted wall at the far end with 2 sun roof windows; that end also was a sunken step down with a wood slatted ceiling and 2 twin mattresses end to end.. The only odd thing about the room was it was lacking a small refrigerator but had a sleeve of 3 homemade biscotti, a Keuring coffee maker, and 2 very plush robes. The shower was also quite small with a curved roof to it but the bathroom had very nice orange lotions and hair care products. The beds were too hard. The room included a continental breakfast in the very lovely restaurant. We has vanilla yogurt along with a large bowl and I am guessing homemade granola, minced up fresh fruit, and choice of 1 pastry---also I heard a neighboring table ask for more than 1 pastry. We also were given a choice of orange or cranberry juice and coffee or tea. All in all the breakfast was quite satisfying. I saw comments that the restaurant was pricey; if you want seclusion this is it and there's a price for it. Not for the cheapskates!

Room Tip: Top floor is very quiet. No traffic at all in the area.

Green Features: So woodsy = so tranquil. They had REAL water glasses and wine glasses in room. Did not care for the paper coffee cups tho.

We stayed in the Honeycomb Suites back in September of last year and had a fantastic experience. The room was so inviting and exceeded our expectations of a romantic one tank trip. It was secluded enough to take us away from the hustle and bustle of the city and still provide the attractions of the local area. We ordered room service which ended up being a little difficult based on the availability of the dishes we were interested in, but were pleased in the end with what we did end up ordering. What made our stay extra memorable is that while sipping local wine and enjoying the romantic glow of the fireplace, I was asked for my hand in marriage. We were married in January of this year, 2013, and look forward to a reminiscent stay at the Inn at Honey Run in the future!

Room Tip: I would definitely splurge and plan to stay in one of the unique Honeycomb Rooms

My wife and I have stayed at the Inn 5 times over 22 years. The last time was four years ago. We stayed in the honeycombs which have been nicely updated and provide the extra benefit of a Managers treat ( not all rooms have this) each evening they serve you an appetizer and drink on them in the newly (1 year ago) renovated lounge and Tarragon Restaurant. The lobby was updated and staff very friendly. We were intrigued to hear that Marge was involved in the updating of Tarragon Restaurant and lobby ! Wow still helping the future we will be back again. Special memories. Thank you all

My wife and I stayed over a Friday and Saturday for a getaway, having not been here for several years. The room decor is being updated with a way to go (some rooms look like 1999), but Inn is very nice and clean and the service and attentiveness of the staff was very good. The updated Tarragon restaurant is a gem. We have eaten at restaurants all over the country, and the quality and presentation of the food (and service) was outstanding. It isn't cheap, but in our opinion, was well worth it. We had the Spanish style crisp potatoes and the salad Lyonnais to start which were beautifully presented and tasted wonderful, and the snapper and filet as entrees. The relaxing and quiet atmosphere is what two professional parents of 3 needed to unwind. This is NOT a beef and potatoes comfort food buffet, this is art - but worth it.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that is recently updated if possible - that said, our "un-updated" room was...

We had a very pleasant few days at this Inn. Our room (a corner suite) was very spacious, with an excellent shaded and large deck. We really enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching and listening to the birds. The kitchenette was perfect for keeping some left overs from local restaurants and the drinks we brought with us. The two couches and easy chair gave us plenty of seating options, and the flat TV on a wall swivel allowed viewing from multiple locations in the room. Closet space was excellent, and the sink outside the toilet and shower area gave us flexibility getting ready for the day. The included breakfasts were more than adequate for us. We ate in the restaurant the first night; although the selections seemed a little limited, the food was very well prepared, was ample, and tasted great. If you have AT&T cell phone service, there is essentially no reception in most parts of Holmes county. This would be an excellent location during fall foliage.

Initial arrival was impressive but all went downhill from there. Restaurant was overrated & over priced with management staff very unfriendly. Several in our party chimed they would NOT return. Room was a nice size but we had no view & the mattress was in dire need of replacement.

Thank you for your feedback. It would have been the pleasure of our management team to assist you with finding a room more comfortable for your stay. While we do our best to anticipate your needs prior to arrival, we encourage our guests to communicate any stay needs so that we can best serve you.

Our restaurant serves upscale casual dining prepared by our culinary team lead by Executive Chef Scott Fetty. Our menu offers local and seasonal ingredients with selections customized by our team. Dinner menu entree prices range from $22 - $40. We are disappointed you felt that are menu prices were too high, and we will certainly consider your feedback when designing our next menu.

With all the traveling we do this place was amazing for getting away with the wife and feeling relaxed and being able to enjoy the peace. The staff was the best I ever had the honor to meet, they even bet the stay and staff at Gaylord Palms in FL. We will be planning many more getaways here. We stayed in the honeycombs and were more than what we expected.
