From the sweetly sloping hillsides littered with daffodils to the exquisite lodge entrance, graced with flowing water and tall vessels of forsythia, I was dazzled before I ever reached the registration desk. Honey Run is a place of serenity, natural beauty, attention to detail, and a most congenial staff. I usually stay in the Honeycombs, but am convinced there is not an unpleasant or unwelcoming corner in the whole of the property. The food is sublime! I dream of returning there, and do so as often as possible, hoping to experience the Inn in all four seasons before settling on a favorite.

Room Tip: I have always been thrilled by the Honeycombs.

We were extremely disappointed by our stay, and thought that the room was nowhere nearly as good as rooms in typical $90 per night motels. There was no dresser in the room, and nowhere to put clothes except pile them in the 'closet' (a hanger niche). There was no desk or table on which to work or write. The 'furniture' consisted of one very modest ('ugly') chair, one modest sofa, one clunky foot stool, and two small end tables by the bed. There is no pool and no other amenities--other than the woods, which do seem to be plentiful. I do not get how they justify charging us $230 plus tax for this. Dinner at the Tarragon was OK, and was only modestly overpriced. Highlights: the soap, shampoo and rinse, and the modern coffee machines in the rooms. But cut the price in half and give me a regular coffee-maker, please. There are lots of good motels and hotels in the area for half the price.

Room Tip: Choose a room at the Berlin Grand

The Inn at Honey Run is very relaxing and serene. The staff is very friendly and the grounds are very well kept. Amish country is great to see as well. I thought the Inn was a little expensive and wished they had entertainment options.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Select King room, and I don't think it was worth the price as it was similar to...

My husband and I stayed for two nights at one of the honeycomb rooms. We are a younger couple who wanted a nice, quiet getaway, and that was exactly what we had. We found so many pluses to our stay! First, the room (honeycomb, at least) was very quiet and clean. The view from the semi-private porch was pretty and peaceful. There were two goats and one sheep that the field is home to. Other nice accommodations were the peaceful music cd playing in the room, the gas fireplace, the option of binoculars for bird watching, etc., the availability of umbrellas in case of rain, and the beautiful surrounding woods and gardens with streams. We enjoyed our first morning's breakfast watching the wildlife (and cats that "belong" to the inn) from the large window our table was nestled by. The staff was very knowledgeable and cheerful. The only letdown was that dinner seemed a bit pricey for what we received (both service and quality of food), but I highly recommend the breakfast and the service during that time was excellent! We intend on returning!

There are not enough spaces to express my feelings on my stay at Honey Run. First we were charged twice on the wrong credit card. Then charged full amount on the right card even though we had a gift certificate for part of the amount. Spent a long time and several calls to get straightened out (still not). Inn is way over priced with all the other just as nice options in the area. We used to stay at Honey Run a few times a year for years when to original owner had it and sang it's praises every time. We used to love coming to the Inn. But it has changed in recent years. Would not have stayed this time if we had not had a gift certificate. Will not be staying here again since we have stayed at several similar places in the area that we enjoy much much more and will be using one of those places in the future.

Our visit to The Inn at Honey Run was a great experience. We stayed in a honeycomb room and loved it. The small things were so nice - the robes, the bird & tree guide books, the music playing when you first entered your room and could continue to enjoy during your stay, the laptop that you can check out for up to 3 hours if you need it. The room was nice. The owner is still in the process of updating the facility as he hasn't owned it all that long. The updates that need done are nothing that would keep you from enjoying your stay though. Just things like the fireplace was wood burning and the carpet has some burn marks but it has been switched to gas - which was really nice because if it got chilly you could just turn it on for a bit and warm up and then turn it off. Staff was very helpful, the room was very clean, the continental breakfast that comes with your stay was good - they even serve you! We enjoyed the walking trails and peeked in at one of the cabins that was vacant - very nice. We found it to be a great experience and believe you will to.

Room Tip: We stayed in the honeycomb rooms and were on the top level - not sure if that matters or not. Only s...

The atmosphere at the Honey Run is enchanting and relaxing! Our beautiful room overlooked the woods, and we enjoyed the birds and wildlife (including a turkey!) We could see a pasture with horses! One morning we hiked up the hill to watch the sunrise over the neighboring farms. Beautiful! The hotel staff went out of their way to assist with our plans and stay. Karole was very accomodating and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed her personality, too! Through Karole, we were lucky enough to book a last minute buggy ride with an engaging Amish gentleman! We loved this ride through the farm areas and highly recommend it for the complete experience! We had planned to experience an Amish dinner in town, but after our first night's meal at the Inn's Tarragon restaurant, we had to go back there for our second night! Chef Scott's amazing talent with local ingredients just wowed us so much that I took photos of our food! The flavors and presentation.....the best we've ever had! I am serious when I say that Chef Scott is a rock star chef! Listen, it gets down to this.....we had planned on touring Amish country for the weekend, but the accomodations and grounds of the Inn at Honey Run was just so wonderful that we didn't even tour the shops and area until we were on our way home! This is my first and only review!

Room Tip: we looked at all room types and they are well represented in the photos online
