“Good food, bad service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 4, 2012

We ate here once while we stayed at the hotel. The food was good, but the service was not. The waitress was obviously upset that we only ordered cobb salads and water and not the pricey steaks they had on their menu. She rarely came back to check on us (always without water). I would eat here again but I would be leery of the service.

“Solid American food; great service.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 1, 2012

We happened here by accident - we arrived in the area about 8:00 pm, and almost all restaurants up here close at 8:00, even on the weekend. The Hotel's restaurant is open until 10:00 pm. We had the special, their prime rib, and their walleye - both were excellent. The service was attentive and cheerful.
After dinner we asked if we could see one of their rooms. The hotel has 26 rooms, all renovated. The room we saw was great - the next time we're up this way we'll stay here.

“Good food & relaxing atmosphere”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 27, 2012

As a local resident, I'd like to submit a review in support of the Hotel Millersburg Restaurant.

From the appetizers, sandwiches, salads and entrees to the desserts, you are bound to find something that satisfies your hunger. The menu offers a wide variety of each of these catagories and at a great price. Entrees consist of the meat/fish, potatoe/rice, salad/soup and the vegetable of the day. You won't walk away hungry! Sandwiches and salads are large, too.

The service is great, but keep in mind that under circumstances where they are understaffed (which can happen in any restaurant) the service may no be up to par with some people. And, when this happens, you will usually see the owners helping out too!

The atmosphere is quite nice. This is a historic hotel, and you will find many pictures and decorations from "back in the day" throughout the dining room and surrounding area. If you are interested in holding a private party, the hotel provides 3 different sizes of private dining rooms, each beautifully decorated as well, and with private servers. Advance reservations are required for the use of these. There is also an outdoor patio for dining and during the summer months on Friday nights, local musicians perform beginning at 7PM.

You can't go wrong here. The restaurant also serves your favorite spirited beverage, too. So, this is not the typical Holmes County Amish restaurant. If you are an out-of-towner and are looking for a change from the "Amish" food, give the Hotel Millersburg Restaurant a try.

“Good food”

We had steak - the cook mixed up the order but it was still good. Service was a little slow and no offer to refill my ice tea. But the food was very good.
