“Stumbled in and totally surprised”
Reviewed August 25, 2014

We were staying at a nearby Inn and arrived late so didn't want to wander far for dinner and the Honey said they had a restaurant soooooo, we got lazy and went there. WOW. Double WOW. They have an inventive and talented executive chef. He has brought a class menu to the back woods of Ohio. His food was on par with some of the finer restaurants we regularly visit in the Seattle area. This is a gem in the heart of Amish country and is well worth an extra drive to sample this chefs take on the heartland

“Cozy, Sophisticated, and Delicious”
Reviewed August 21, 2014

I had the pleasure of having dinner at Tarragon twice during the last two weeks while working in the area. Do not get me wrong, while I love the Amish broasted chicken, noodles, and ham, it was nice having a more sophisticated meal during my stay.

The dining room is cozy and windows offer views into the forest. Dining room is casual, yet smart. Hostess and servers are very friendly and take very good care of you as you dine. I had the duck breast on both occasions. Very flavorful cooked perfectly. I also enjoyed the salad that accompanied the entree.

On one occasion I had the perogies, which were flavorful and very nicely presented. The carrot ginger soup was also very flavorful and nicely presented.

I would definitely recommend Tarragon if you are in the area and I will absolutely be returning if my travels bring me back this way.

“Updated dining room enhances experience”
Reviewed June 30, 2014

We have dined here 3-4 times over the past 4-5 years. On our last visit we quickly noticed that the room had been updated to provide a nice bar and a more intimate dining experience - a nice improvement. We were pleased, as always, with the food and the service was top notch. If you want a really nice dinner in the area, this is the place to go.
