This is the best bed & breakfast that my wife & I have stayed at. The accomodations are excellent. The breakfast was delicious and Loretta talked about the Amish customs and where to visit in the area. We had a wonderful time and will plan to stay at The Barn Inn again in the future.

Room Tip: We stayed in the "Memory Lane" suite. It was beautiful.

We have never stayed at a B&B before. This was the best first we could have wished for. We were treated like old friends. Loretta even "let" my wife make a few Christmas bows with her around the table in the evening. The pair were a wealth of knowledge and helpful suggestions about the area. Their Amish family background make them uniquely qualified to provide local history and funny/interesting stories. Loretta's expertise helped us make efficient use of our time visiting local sites. What a blessing!

Room Tip: Our room was right off the dining/living room/lobby. We enjoyed it there; most convenient- just open...

This is the third time that we have stayed at the Barn Inn, and it is still charming. Paul and Loretta are the most gracious of hosts and know the area well and can get you to any thing that you would like to see, plus give you ideas if you aren't sure. The breakfast is amazing!! It is joy to meet the and visit with the other guests while you are eating. The Barn Inn is set in a quiet country setting. It is perfect and we are looking forward the fourth stay.

Room Tip: All the rooms are comfortable and each is decorated differently. Some are up one level and some are...

The Staff was excellent and provided a great intro to the facility when we first arrived. The Room was OUTSTANDING well decorated and very very comfortable. The FOOD was the best I have had at any B&B. But the insight into the local community was the best. Giving local "hot spots" that not only had good deals but also ones off the beaten path that gave you a taste of the local community. Loretta was an outstanding host and cook and provided us with a much needed relaxing vacation. We will go back and I would advise anybody looking for a B&B in the Millersberg, Berlin area to stay at the BARN INN.

Room Tip: The Renaissance room was a great deal...HUGE KING BED, 2 person hot tub, couch recliner...everything...

We have visited the area on many occasions but planned a stay with friends who had never ventured into Holmes County. Their daughter found the Barn Inn online and presented them with a gift certificate, so the adventure was on. That chance find brought us to a loving couple, Loretta and Paul, who made you feel like family. The furnishings and details were beautiful. Best of all was breakfast. You are welcomed to a table preset to feel as if you are dining at a fine restaurant. We stayed 3 days and enjoyed something different each morning. Food was home cooked and wonderful. So much that we only needed another meal during the day. Then came the time when Loretta shares here knowledge of the rich heritage of the area. She shares her ideas for wonderful places to visit and shop. Some where places we had never been and would have never thought of. A strict order Amish home that sold handmade baskets out of their house turned out to be a treasure chest. The Inn is a must stay if you are in the area.

Arranged an over night as a surprise for my wife's birthday. We were greeted on our arrival, offered coffee or tea and pastries. I noticed they had other snacks available ie popcorn for the microwave, bottled water. The room was comfortable, clean and well appointed. The common areas were very nice and comfortable. I was able to enjoy a cup of coffee when I got up, before breakfast was served. Breakfast consisted of eggs, cheesy potatoes, sausage, fresh fruit, juice, cinnamon rolls and toast. There was also an assortment of spreads. My coffee cup never made it to empty because Paul made sure it was refilled. Loretta had a package for detailing local site along with a recommendation for lunch. Already considering a return trip in the spring.

Although we have friends and family in the area, whenever we're here from Los Angeles we always stay at The Barn Inn. Loretta & Paul have created a warm, friendly place to stay. Breakfast of Loretta's family recipes is so plentiful & wonderful, we only have one other meal during the day. If you're new to the area, at Loretta's after-breakfast talk she will share her Amish past, will give you current happenings in the immediate and surrounding areas, and will answer any questions you may have. Their love of the area and their pride in their home is obvious to all who stay here.
