“Stay in Holmes County”

The Barn Inn is a lovely B & B. The room was nicely done, there is ample parking space, and the owners are very helpful. It was a nice bonus to have a TV in our room, too.

(Perhaps Trip Advisor could relax their rule about having a 200 character minimum for their responses. It's really too time consuming for today's lifestyle.)

Donna and I have traveled to Holmes County several times. This Inn was the BEST B&B that we have experienced. The Renaissance Room is big, comfortable and quiet. We have stayed at B&B establishments in Atlanta, Boston and in other states, so the compliment is truly deserved! Loretta is a wealth of knowledge regarding the Amish and Mennonite communities. She offered clear directions and descriptions of points of interest. This was our fourth visit to Amish country...and we learned more than ever before. Thank you, Paul and Loretta! Did we mention that the sausage served at breakfast was the best, as well? You will get your money's worth here.

Room Tip: The Renaissance Room is a terrific romantic experience.

We had the most wonderful getaway!! You have to see this place !!! It is so unique, nothing can compare to this !! The owners Paul and Loretta are so beautiful and kind. You are welcomed as if you were already extended family. The rooms are incredible, no two are a like. The great hall is sooooo big!! There are comfy couches and chairs. Our room was the the Holmes County with a hand painted mural on the wall. A wood porch surrounds the back and overlooks to the left a lama, a goat and some sheep!! You walk out of the back door, take a drink of wine and sit and relax!! In room DVD's if you care to watch a movie and the have pastries!!!Popcorn!!! Cookies, tea and coffee!! Breakfast is yummers!!! Go give this place a try...we will be back!!!! Therese-Marie August 11, 2012

This was our second visit to this bed and breakfast and our third time to Millersburg. Our first visit we drove aimlessly and really didn't get to truly experience the amish community. Our second and third visits we stayed at The Barn Inn. The rooms are comfortable and quiet. The breakfast in the morning is delicious. After breakfast the innkeepers Loretta and Paul give out a hand out with the addresses of the amish who sell within their homes and give some first hand information on the amish culture. We were able to purchase soaps, rugs, baskets and canned goods that were high quality and very reasonably priced. We no longer consider visiting Millersburg without adding the Barn Inn as part of our stay. Great place to stay and highly recommended.

My husband and I stayed at this B&B for our 1st wedding anniversary and we had a lovely time! The Amish country was amazing and Loretta and the other staff members were great. It was relaxing and romantic...just what we were hoping for! :)

Our first visit here was full of pleasant surprises. The accommodations were excellent and the perfect setting for visiting Holmes County - off the beaten track and tucked into the picturesque farmland. We had one of the smaller rooms, which was ample in every respect for the two of us. Amenities were first class with WIFI, an outdoor balcony/private entry if you don't care to go through the main lobby/living/dining space. The breakfasts were over the top - should be listed as "Bed and Brunch" because you were set for the day and couldn't possibly consume everything that was prepared for you. If this were a breakfast only restaurant, it would be 5 star! Without a doubt, the biggest plus were the Innkeepers. Loretta and Paul offered unlimited hospitality and you could take it or leave it. We could not stop listening to the wonderful, heartwarming family stories that gave us a first hand glimpse into the Amish and Mennonite religions and cultures. These are two people who care very much about taking care of their neighbors and you cannot help but be blessed to share their home. We will be back and we will bring others with us!!

Room Tip: All good, but the higher price for some means more space, jacuzzi, and king beds.

Great place to stay & great breakfast. The "barn" itself is cozy, clean, and comfortable. And If you are there to see Amish country, Loretta's "chats" and recommendations are a must! Ours was in the evening and she created an atmosphere that was entrancing.
