Herbie and the MM crew are the Blue Plate Kings! They put out a tasty monthly menu. Every Wednesday is Pan Fried Chicken that has every Amish Chicken parying thanks on Thursday they survived another week. But the real gems are Pot Roast and Beef Tips and Noodle night. Even my child who prefers the mashed potatoes here to any pizza, drive thru, or sugar sprinkled concotion in the world.. will mark the calendar with pink arrows and highlight Beef Tip and Noodle day. Gumbo and Potato soup also have a cult following in the household.
The deli sandwiches are dirt cheap and are HUGE! Boars Head offerings not some bargain brand here. The old time candy offerings, plethora of chips and snacks, homemade dips, home grown salads (yes the garden is in the back lot!), beer, wine and even bait in the drive thru. Soft serve is also available as soon as the winter breaks. Did I mention Servatii's baked goods are also available?
Inside you can grab a table and a newspaper or step out onto the porch and watch the traffic and the neighbors come and grab dinner, too. Stop by for lunch and see everyone from road crews to lwayers or in the evenings you see the little leaguers eat ice cream.
This place puts the Mayberry in Miami Township. It's where you get great food at a great price that is faster than the McTaco on 28 place and can see where the community comes to catch up and hang out.
