Low budget motel, yet in this case - a decent place to stay! First and foremost, very clean motel: both hallways and the room itself - the bathroom being big & modern & spotless, equipped with handicap rails... The staff was very friendly and helpful; ice machine fine with vending machines providing beverages, snacks, and personal neccessities; flat screen TV with great picture/sound/remote... limited channels, but had HBO; AC worked fine. Location wise, around the corner is a McD, a Subway, & a Marathon gas/convenience store {great homemade sandwiches/pie/brownies].. some sort of small plaza too... 6-7 miles away are the big malls, restaurants, etc. Can't beat the price here; not fancy, but the accomodations have the basics and everything is well kept up,,, saw the cleaning crew who left a good professional impression. Also, computer terminal available which I used. Bed comfortable.

First off, the picture of this hotel on Motel 6's website is NOT this hotel. There is absolutely nothing pleasant or inviting about this hotel. It is a box of cells that functions as a pit stop on the interstate.

It's hard for me to complain too much considering that the rate was $40 and they allowed my big dog to stay for free. However, there are some things you must know since it's not clear from most reviews:

Basic is not the best description for the rooms. They are grubby. The mattresses or at least box springs are stained all over and there are stains in the toilet that resemble poop. The TV is mounted in such a way that it looks like it will crash onto the floor while you sleep. The bathroom sink was so low flow that it takes a good 5 minutes to wash your hands. The area around the hotel is pretty desolate. No obvious place to eat or get gas or anything. Last but not least, the mattress springs in one of the beds were so shot out that it's like sleeping in a hammock.

On the bright side, there was some decent stuff in the vending machines and the late night front desk lady was nice.

Stayed one night at Motel 6 in Milan. It was what we expected based on TA reviews: clean, comfortable, no frills. Although there is no breakfast and nothing in the room beyond a TV and phone, for $40-odd bucks a night you can't beat it. A great value for the money if you don't have high expectations, and the staff was polite and helpful.

This motel is right off the Ohio turnpike and perfectly fine for an overnight. It's a no frills place - no fridge, no microwave, no breakfast; but it does have WiFi. The room was small but clean; towels were rather thin. Though we had a non-smoking room, the ventilation system was circulating some smoke odor from other areas. The smoke smell stopped later in the evening so didn't disturb our sleep. The staff was friendly and the price was certainly right. We'd stay there another time.
