This restaurant just happened to be located in the hotel building where we were spending the night. We had seen a few reviews, and it looked good. We were not disappointed!! As I told the manager, we rarely eat out because, being two people who enjoy cooking, we almost always come away from restaurant dinners thinking we could have done better ourselves, and saved a lot of money. However, the food at the Skye restaurant was delicious: fresh ingredients, freshly prepared; well thought out dishes that were well executed; friendly, knowledgeable and professional staff, and a nice selection of wines. The menu is not extensive, but we'll take quality over quantity any day. Very well done!!

We just moved to Mentor and wanted to have a nice quiet dinner for our wedding anniversary. The restaurant is in the Lawnfield Inn Best Western. We had a nice table close to the window. There was a musician, Dan DiMatteo, playing guitar and piano, who was wonderful! We were greeted and told of the specials - Swordfish with risotto, or a mushroom gnocchi. We ordered wine and we each decided to try the specials. My husband ordered soup, and I had the wedge salad. Both were very good. My husband said the swordfish was just okay. My mushroom gnocchi was excellent! We saved room for dessert, but they were out of the Death by Chocolate, so we ordered the pralines ice cream roll, but got the coconut one instead. It was just okay. I do recommend this restaurant and hope to return very soon.

The menu was suprisingly good for a hotel restaurant - lots of good choices and the food was superb.

We have lived in Mentor for decades and are so pleased to have a fine dining restaurant of this caliber in the area. The atmosphere is excellent and the food is wonderful. Our initial experience was a dinner with friends and the waiter was quite knowledgeable concerning the wine list. Our food was very good. Spinach and pita appetizer was plentiful for sharing. Entrees were well prepared and extremely flavorful. Chocolate mousse was very good as well. We had a small problem with our waiter and the manager went above and beyond to make sure our concerns were heard and addressed. The outcome was above satisfactory and makes this experience more worthy of high praise! We recommend a visit. Bring friends and have a great time!

We stayed at the Best Western Lawnfield inn, a very pleasant and friendly Hotel with very helpful staff. In their Hotelrestaurant they serve a good breakfast, but what is really outstanding are the dinner selections. We had the tuna, which was not on the menu but advertised as a special and I must say, for a restaurant in "smalltown america" the meal was just perfect and way better than what you can expect on average .
