we were as so eager to try this place, there just are not enough independent restaurants in this town, but we were soo let down! from the overbearing hostess, to in- attentive servers and long wait for food, which was mediocre at best. we are hoping that since this is a new place, they have kinks to work out, so we will give it another try, but not anytime soon .

I moved to Mentor over a year ago, and the most disappointing thing about this town ( besides the traffic) is the lack of quality local eateries. Sure, there are pizzerias every 15 feet, but there's only so much cheese and sauce I can handle. We often drive into Cleveland and the more trendy neighborhoods for a good meal. We were delighted to see that Match WorksTavern was less than 5 minutes from us! The menu offers a variety of fare to please anyone and there are some specialty cocktails, along with beer & wine. The place is big, so it doesn't look like you'd have to fight to get in there for dinner, and it looks as though they are working on some outside dining options. The Executive Chef's wife/Co-Owner took very good care of us when we dined there for lunch.
