We didn't know anything about James Garfield and learned a lot on the guided tour. Well worth a stop. We had a good tour guide that was unbelievably knowledgeable.

Keep this historic presidential home in mind for a rainy day or just a outing for a nice fall day. The grounds and home are well maintained with guides who briefly and interestingly present the home with a historic perspective that even our children found fascinating. Good value with a side of history.

The period pieces are right on, the staff was a bit pushy with the school kids. It is located in the heart of Mentor, and you forget where you are.

Very nice....

The docents here are very knowledgable and willing to share snippets of life during James A Garfield's time in history. Very enjoyable.

We were pleasantly surprised at how enjoyable the informative tour was. Our kids even enjoyed it! (Preschoolers). Granted, we love history, but the house and grounds are so well-kempt that its easy to even enjoy sitting in the yard under the trees.
