“Unique Building, Not so Exciting Food”
Reviewed August 4, 2013

Had a lunch with 10 family members. We had a 45 minute wait until food arrived. Some were very hungry and not happy it took so long. Was not a very busy day. Server seemed distracted and busy covering others.. Very tastefully decorated building with interior fountains. Serve Chinese, Japanese and Thai selections. Most meals were $13 to $15 without drink. Large portions served--suitable for sharing. Appetizers were $8 or so. Two of us shared a chicken with peanut sauce (thai). Not too exciting. Standard oriental food fare. Watch out for very hot peppers and sauces. I would probably not go back since most of the meals are huge calorie bombs and I only want a small, reasonable lunch. Good location on town square.

This restaurant is a gem! Excellent food, excellent service. Can't say anything more. It is great!
Glad we had a reservation for Saturday night. Busy place but we never felt rushed.

“Unexpected Elegance”
Reviewed July 9, 2013

This restaurant provided amazing food along with wonderfully romantic and classy ambiance. The varied seating was adventurous and fun with options to sit in the lounge area with large glass doors open to bring in the fresh air on beautiful summer days to sitting on the floor on cushions in a more private area for the true feeling of the orient. The food was exceptional. I would highly recommend the Red Curry and the Peach Schnappes Seasame Chicken. Outstanding! Will definitely return for a relaxing evening out with friends or for a romantic meal with my love.

“This place goes out of it's way to piss off it's customers!”
Reviewed June 29, 2013

The heavy set guy at the front desk couldn't care less nor is he willing to assist in making your visit a good experience. You are just a number. Too many great restaurants that care about their customers. Q: Ever met the owners of Hunan? Didn't think so.

“Small town, huge taste!!”
Reviewed June 27, 2013

This was my first visit to Medina, Ohio, but I was very pleased with the offering of good restaurants. We were on the Public Square in the middle of town for a car show meet on a Thursday night. Everyone parked and walked around the very unique town area checking out the street rods and the local stores, which had stayed open for the car show visitors. Eventually we had to decide where we would have our dinner and House of Hunan was a fabulous choice. It was a touch of big city menu offerings and excellent wait staff in a small town setting. The four people at our table each ordered a different dish and we were all extremely pleased. Wine and beer selections were good and mixed drink was not watered down! Prices were average for a good Asian restaurant dinner and very much worth it. Will definitely plan to eat there on our next trip.
