“Really nice with extra touches”
Reviewed March 5, 2012

Had a 2 bedroom suite with a full kitchen and living room. The pictures on website made it seem a little bigger than it was, but it was really nice- full kitchen with stainless steel appliances and granite counters - and little touches were very nice - a reclining chair with ottoman, microwave popcorn (kosher) in the basket with coffee makings. There was a snack buffet out until 7:30 p.m. with chips and candy (most of which was kosher) - the fitness room was nice and chilly and with 2 treadmills, bike and elliptical (each with own tv screen) & weights). Staff was really nice and helpful & free breakfast was very nice (enough kosher stuff to be had- didn't want to use the waffle iron so took kosher batter & put in our sandwich maker - interesting kind of pancake!). Coffee, tea & hot cocoa available round the clock. Also had a basketball court that we used. Definitely would stay here again.

I would like to thank you for taking the time to comment on your stay with us this past February. I am thrilled that you enjoyed the multitude of amenities provided in the suites. Can you believe the weather this past February! Wow, so glad we had the sportcourt all ready for everyone to enjoy. Hopefully you will be able to make it back sometime this summer and enjoy our outdoor BBQ and Fire Pit area.

We hope to see you again soon.
Warm wishes,
Team Residence Inn Maumee

My sister and I were looking for a hotel that was equal travel distance for both of our families, and we decided on the Residence Inn on Arrowhead Drive. We reserved a two-bedroom suite, and WE LOVED IT! The kitchen was beautiful--all granite countertops and stainless appliances. The dining and living area is ingenious because the diningroom seating doubles as livingroom seating, and the ottoman that pairs with the easy chair is on casters and can double as seating and move anywhere in the room. The two bedrooms and bathrooms were beautiful and afforded both families privacy and quiet. We stay at Marriotts a lot, and I don't recall many Residence Inns having indoor pools, but this one does have a nice indoor pool and hot tub that delighted the adults and kids alike. I also have to give a shout out to Marriott for incorporating the "Marketplace" in the lobbies of their hotels. We were able to make late night runs downstairs for everything from antacid to Haagen-dazs, which saved us trips out. One more thing--the area where the hotel is located is a convenient drive to shopping and restaurants. We dined at a local Mexican restaurant that was fantastic and a stellar local Italian restaurant, too, both of which were less than a 10 minute drive from the hotel. We will use this as a rendez-vous again.

Room Tip: We were on the 4th floor, and it was SILENT!

This was a great place to stay for our family of four. We try to get away every 8 weeks or so and while this was our "staycation" (we were only 60 miles from home), it was one of our favorites in our busy travel calendar. We had a two bedroom suite, 2 baths, sofa bed and kitchen. Plenty of space to spread out. The entire hotel is nicely done and well maintained. I would guess that the property is approximately 3 years old. So access to the internet is easy, lots of plugs for the various hand held devices, which is becoming ever more important. Great pool area. The breakfast bar was very nicely done with an over flow area for seating which I'm sure is always needed on the weekend (I hate not being able to find a place to eat when I go down for breakfast.) The staff was friendly (all staff members actually acknowledge us and had nice things to say). We were in and out of check in quickly and the bill arrived effortlessly. So I guess the thing that made this a great hotel is that the staff (it's nice when people look happy to be working somewhere) made it look easy as if there was no effort required to make it all run so smoothly. I wish I could pick this hotel up and place it in downtown Chicago or even on the Strip in Vegas.

This was an awesome place for our family to rest in the middle of a long trip. The hotel is a few turns off of I-80 but is well worth locating. We stayed in a king suite with a kitchen, living room with hide-a-bed, bathroom and separate bedroom. My wife and I felt that the bed was very comfortable. The mattress was especially good. The kids did not think the hide-a-bed was as comfortable, although they did seem to sleep okay. The breakfast the next morning was great. Not only did they include eggs, sausages, potato cakes, pancakes and waffles, but they had several toppings for the eggs. They also staffed the breakfast area with two friendly staff persons. The kids enjoyed the pool which was a decent size. We liked that the sink was outside the bathroom so that someone could be using the sink while someone else was using the bathroom. My kids commented that the lighting was nice in the room. With the kitchen and living room in the suite, this is a place that a family could stay for several days. Our family liked this hotel so much that we will be looking for Residence Inns first when looking for hotels in the future.

We needed a nice relaxing place to stay for our family of four to unwind after the Christmas holiday. After driving several hours on our way home to Iowa, it was a perfect place to stay. It was a beautiful 2 bedroom suite, clean, great breakfast, and friendly employees. We are sold on staying at Residence Inns in the future:)

We stayed at the Residence Inn in Maumee for a small get-away while doing some Christmas shopping. We were met with a smile upon check-in and were quickly and politely given the room requests that had been made ahead of time. Check in took only a few minutes and we were on our way to continue shopping.
Our room was spotless and very modern. The hotel is only about 3 years old and it shows. The kitchenette was up to date and very trendy. All supplies (cups, bowls, silverware, pitchers, etc.) were in the cupboards in case needed. The beds were very large Queens and were very comfortable.
We used the pool, which we were so happy to find indoors. Several Residence Inn's that we have stayed at only have outdoor pools. This was great for December! The pool area was clean and stocked with towels, however the pool and hot tub needed a small cleaning of the water (there seemed to be a film of some sort).
The free breakfast buffet was good. My children always enjoy making their own waffles. The fruit was limited, but everything seemed very fresh.
We enjoyed this hotel and will definitely be staying again!

From a seasoned traveler who knows a little about hotels this one was on the money. Read the reviews so decided to give it a shot on the way to a game at the big house. Nice location, great rate, newer hotel. It was vey clean and the room was very nice. Large, full kitchen, comfy bed. I was impressed by the overall layout and decor...modern and very functional. Staff were very pleasant. Icing on the case was free hot breakfast. Overall, very impressive for $99
