“Toooo Loud!”
Reviewed May 12, 2009

May 9th 2009. Lots of loud teens in the halls...pool to busy to use. We finally fell asleep after 1a.m. when the noise settled a bit... Then a few hours later we were awakened to noise of pans, dishes, cabinet doors banging, ice being loaded into containers and loud talking workers. Discoverded our room shared the kitchen wall where big metal sinks and cabinets were connected to the other side. This room should have been a storage closet instead of a guest room!!! We had a very unrestful night.

My wife & I stayed here a few days ago. We booked the hotel on Priceline a few hours before we checked in. Better than half price.! Hotel was great. Room was immaculate, beds were very comfortable, breakfast was hot & very good. Breakfast wasn't free, but they had a deal for 2 breakfast buffets for $9.99 I would gladly stay there again.

I spent two nights there this week. The first night I was awakened by what sounded like a carpenter's air compressor cycling on every once in a awile. The next morning they moved me to a different room and slept like a rock that night. The staff is very friendly and supportive, and the property is very nice, with very comfortable queen beds. The restaurant buffet is hot and better than average.

There are several good restaurants in the immediate vicinity.
Especially try the Peking calimari at the Blue Water Grille. The delmonico steak was Awesome!

The morning I left, I asked the desk to call me a taxi to the airport, and was told it would be 25 minutes before a cab could be there, and that I should have planned ahead. She was absolutely correct. Fortunately, there was a cab driver lurking in the neighborhood who was hoping someone like me would need a ride and so I was on my way in five minutes. Next time, I'll stay in the Courtyard at the airport.

I come here regularly. These folks do a very very nice job with what they have in this property. In traveling here over the last several years, there appears to be very little turnover in staff. This makes for a friendly atmosphere for each other and their guests. Check in is a breeze and they are always very helpful. Recently they upgraded the rooms which are comfortable and spacious. There is a small work out room, pool, and hot tub. There is a computer and printer provided for free to print out boarding passes and other minor clerical tasks. There is also a restaurant open in the mornings to serve a basic breakfast.

While they get the basics right, they also know that the little touches do make a difference. For example, they have a mini bar and munchies available pretty much 24/7. Warm cookies are served around 5pm in the lobby and there is usually a hand written note for the maid wishing you a pleasant stay. In addition, they make a real effort to know you by name and seemed concerned about your well being.

I think it is a little expensive for the location (around $240 or so), it is reliable and a great place to stay for the area. As a bonus there are also a few restaurants within walking distance or a short drive.

While not a super luxury hotel, it is not meant to be. They excel in their category and should be held up as property "doing it right"

I stayed at the Courtyard in Maumee in both June and July 2005, both on business trips. The rooms and general areas are very clean. The staff is very friendly and eager to be of assistance. I also like the Maumee Courtyard because they offer free passes to a nearby fitness center that is new and very nice. I will definitely stay here the next time I am in the area.
