We had to wait a good 5 minutes to be seated....which wouldn't be bad normally, but there was only one other group in the restaurant at the time (and they were already eating). We were standing right in front of the bar where she was, but she ignored us. Finally, we asked if we were supposed to seat ourselves which got her attention. But, she was a bit curt to all of us, even the kids. I'm guessing maybe she's normally the bartender and was stuck doing hostess duties due to low volume!? But, that wasn't a good fit for her and really set the tone off for the meal.
On the other hand, the waiter was AWESOME! He refilled drinks before we were past the half empty mark and was very quick to respond to any of our requests. He also brought our kids meals first without us having to request it. He was super fun with the kids too! He also gave our daughter extra bacon strips when she mentioned to us she'd wish she had some when she saw some on my husband's chicken. Well, the waiter overheard this and without us asking, he brought some directly to her. Wow, great service! We definitely gave him an extra big tip for all the extra effort! I would definitely go back there again just for the chance of getting his service again, despite the rude hostess.
All the food was good for that kind of family casual dining (not amazing, but certainly not bad either).
