We love the location. Also , very friendly staff , good pub food. Never a long wait . Nice fireplaces in the winter, 3 story building with a if fervent crowd on each. St Patricks day a must!

Everyone's experience is different and despite some mediocre reviews, we had a very enjoyable experience. It would be hard to beat the excellent beer selection. The food is very good for pub fare, you're not there for fine dining. What was ordered and served was nicely prepared and presented. The atmosphere is excellent and a fun place to be. The basement level is excellent but we didn't get to the second floor, so no help there. The service was weak, but some of that was simply due to a personally bad night for our server, for which some grace can be extended. I would want to visit again before deciding firmly on the service. Would definitely like to return.

When we arrived at the Brazenhead on a Saturday evening around 8:30 the parking lot was filled but the dining room had only a few diners. Most people who came in were headed to the downstairs pub where music was playing (not Irish music). The Brazenhead is in a lovely building with many tiny dining areas on the main floor along with a beautiful bar. The room we were in was quite drafty and a small electric space heater was on the floor to help with that. The service was good but the food, for what we got, was a bit pricey. I got a pulled pork platter which had a serving of the meat, sweet potato fries, and cole slaw for $13.99. My friend ordered two pieces of the fish, their version of chips, and cole slaw for the same price. Next time I will try something else.

Go for the Irish food, fish and chips and shepherds pie...on the weekend when they are busy. During the week they seem to only serve typical bar food and it is just ok.

The Brazenhead is a beautiful building and becons you in. Unfortunately that is where the experience ends. The food is a huge let down. As someone who grew up in the UK and has family in Ireland this place is definitely a miss. The worst Irish soda bread I have ever had. This is prbably a good pub as the bar is extensive but definitely skip it for food! Oh yes and it is over priced to boot!
