One sunny weekend we were tooling around in the convertible looking for a new place to eat. We had grown tired of the usual spots (Bonefish, Bravo, Pollo Grille, Mesh, etc.) and were sort of looking for a new place to replace Mesh now that Paul and Pam have left.
Cafe Bella didn't look like much. Small, almost nondescript from the outside and not terribly busy when we came by for lunch.
We couldn't have been more pleased.
We've now been there close to twenty times. The wife and I, with kids, with friends, etc. For lunch and many times for dinner.
The prices are very reasonable. The wine list is excellent and the food is consistently wonderful. From the Muffalatta sandwiches and flat-breads for luch to the Bolognese or mushroom pasta every dish has delighted. Bella's own lemon vinaigrette is our favorite dressing for salads now.
Bella is the owner and she's a very sweet woman. She has a larger area for groups (we're doing our company Christmas party there) and will prepare North African specialties for large parties if given advanced notice.
The cuisine is "Mediterranean" with and emphasis on Italy, but there are many tastes.
I'm not a desert eater, but my kids love the creme brulee.
